Tim DesGrosseilliers’ workplace death was tragic AND preventable in many ways. 1. Tim had complained to management about safety issues numerous times before his death. His concerns were ignored. 2. He wasn’t supposed to work the day he was killed, but as a thoughtful employee, he came in to help out. 3. He was rushed into a job, with insufficient backup help. This affected his decision-making -- which ultimately led to his death. Employers must do a better job protecting the safety of their employees.
