LVMH, the brain behind iconic brands like Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior Couture, is gearing up for a workforce challenge. The luxury giant anticipates a shortage of 22,000 skilled artisans by the end of 2025. The brainchild of Bernard Arnault is tackling this deficit head-on by embarking on an ambitious plan to train 700 apprentices worldwide this year, a significant leap from the 180 in 2018. LVMH has reserved two-thirds of the positions for boutiques and hotels, while the remaining third is for craftspeople and designers. This is being done to ensure that the legacy of meticulous craftsmanship is maintained. Notably, over a dozen apprentices will be learning the art of luxury at Tiffany & Co.. Training the next generation of luxe artisans has become a critical mission for Tiffany’s parent, LVMH, the French conglomerate that also owns Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and six dozen other brands. Inside LVMH Certificate Achievement I am thrilled to announce that I have successfully completed the Inside LVMH Certificate, an amazing journey through the luxury industry with many interesting, insightful and eye opening lessons. Over the past few weeks, I participated in different modules, heard compelling stories, put my own skills to the test, experienced the complexity of the luxury industry and enjoyed hearing from a range of different changemakers at the Group. With 75 Maisons spread over six different sectors, LVMH is a global leader renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless elegance. I explored: Industry & Promotion, in which LVMH unique business model was presented together with the brands ecosystem. Luxury & Sustainability, during which I got a closer look at which environmental and social strategies are being implemented. Creation & Branding, throughout which I learned about the importance of a brands DNA. Retail & Customer experience, where I learned how crucial human relationships are. The high amount of learning videos combined with the “Test yourself” and content repeating quizzes, allowed for me to intensify my understanding of the given module. With the real world examples, group managers, talents and CEO’s INSIDELVMH has equipped me with a great team of instructors. As I move forward, I am excited to apply the acquired knowledge gained from the certificate to future internships.
