Through Her Lens: Donna Trope X Paris Texas Opposing forces collide in a new collaboration between PARIS TEXAS and photographer Donna Trope. As part of "Through Her Lens", an editorial project that sees female photographers reimagine the brand’s silhouettes within their unique visual landscape, Donna presents a series of erotically charged and surreal images, inspired by her prolific body of work. In one image, the spiked heel of a signature Lidia Mule tears through a pair of fishnet tights, in another, it picks at the crotch of some mesh pants. Elsewhere, a cigarette is stubbed on the soul of a lacquered Jessica Slingback, while, in another, a bouquet of roses spills out of an iconic Stiletto Boot. Echoed throughout the series, flowers are a key symbol of feminine allure and provide a thrilling natural counterpoint to the fetishistic nature of shoes. The ultimate paradox, flowers are both soft and sensual, empowered and unapologetic at the same time, much like the Paris Texas woman herself. Designed to be flexible, modular, and scalable, the highly visible space is housed on the ground floor and divided into three areas—the windows, the entrance corner, and the main space. The concept takes its cue from the billboards seen in the U.S. desert. Showcasing Paris Texas’ quintessential dual soul, adaptable metallic structures serve as display units for a curated selection of Resort 2024 styles. True to Paris Texas’ overarching love for contrasts, the display mixes a signature palette and finishes—silver and metallic accents, mirrors, a Texan rose hue—with seductive sensory elements, creating unexpected harmony. Oozing self-confidence, female empowerment, and dawn-to-dark versatility, the minimalist Lidia is a favorite of many A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Nina Dobrev, and Winnie Harlow. Wrapped in red, the space uniquely blends innovation, custom details, and style, inspired by glimmering skyscrapers. To that end, sparkly red towers of varying heights are neatly aligned, serving as showcases for a curated holiday selection that includes the house’s iconic boots and Lidia slingbacks. The key material used for the structure is a steel mesh fabric lacquered with custom glossy red paint to add an urban glamour to the installation. The processing of this material captures the luminous dynamism typical of metropolitan towers, wrapping the temporary space in modern elegance.
