I kicked things off as a Construction Technician 🏗️, getting my hands dirty and mastering the art of planning projects and building stuff. Are you taking enough chances? Believe it or not, I didn’t start out in sales. My career began with a gas company, changing out gas meters at people’s homes. I’ve been chased by dogs (once had to jump onto the roof of my FJ Cruiser!), yelled at by homeowners, and soaked by rain while working outside. Eventually, I transitioned into sales with Snap-on Tools, where I learned the art of selling. That led me into staffing, where I really honed my skills. But here’s the real lesson: none of this would’ve been possible if someone hadn’t taken a chance on me. Whether it was Snap-on, my move into staffing, or the leap of faith with Swiftemp, those opportunities shaped my path. As a business owner, I’ve learned that taking chances—on people, on opportunities, and even on unexpected experiences—can lead to incredible outcomes. I’ve seen people with little experience rise to the occasion and exceed expectations when given the shot. So, again, I’ll ask: are you giving yourself and others enough chances to grow? My daughter recently decided to take a chance on the Dinosaur ride at Animal Kingdom. She won’t be doing that again!
