Under the Vibrant Villages programmes, India plans to develop 663 border villages into modern villages with all amenities in the first phase. Of them, at least 17 along the borders with China in Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh, have been selected for development as a pilot project under the programme. three major highways are at different stages of construction in Arunachal Pradesh: the Trans-Arunachal Highway; the Frontier Highway; and the East-West Industrial Corridor Highway.

🌟World Wetlands Day 2024 – 2nd February's 🌟 🌟 India celebrated World Wetlands Day 2024 at Sirpur Lake, a Ramsar site in Indore. 🌟The theme of World Wetlands Day 2024 was ‘Wetlands and Human Wellbeing,’ emphasizing the critical role wetlands play in flood protection, clean water, biodiversity, and recreational opportunities. 🌟India increased its tally of Ramsar sites to 80 by designating five more wetlands as Ramsar sites recently. 🌟Wetlands are low-lying areas of land that are saturated with water, either permanently or seasonally. 🌟They are transition zones between land and water, where the flow of water, the cycling of nutrients, and the energy of the sun meet.
Cutting trees is the best solution for Urban Planning! In the face of on going escalating temperatures, urban planning and strategic tree planting emerge as critical strategies to combat heat waves. Very recently almost all trees in Dhanmondi (Satmasjid Road) were cutdown by the city corporation in the name of mid island beatification. Trees provide natural shade, reducing urban heat island effects and cooling ambient temperatures. Moreover, they enhance air quality and provide habitat for wildlife. Through thoughtful urban planning, cities can integrate green spaces, parks, and tree-lined streets to mitigate heat stress on residents. As climate change intensifies, prioritizing these measures becomes imperative to create livable, resilient urban environments for future generations, specially for cities like ours where it’s all concrete. #idea #dhaka #bangladesh #planning

The LULC is calculated of total 40 years in the range of 10 years. As like 1993, 2003, 2013 and 2023. It shows the #Urbanization of #Kolkata city. The high urbanization areas are denoted as #hotspots. As 1993 the hot spot in the northern site. And through the year gaps 2013 has a central hotspot nature.
