SLC produces (in Rockland Ontario no less) small backyard offices/studios/bunkies and small, short/long/medium term rental units (tiny homes). Given that we are facing a period of unknown length where high interest rates will prevail, a lot of real estate investments simply don’t make sense anymore, but there are a few business models that still do work. For example, my wife Dawn and I bought a SLC tiny home (which we will park at Hammond Hill) and, when our family isn’t using it, we will rent it out to make some extra cash.
