We’ve all scrolled through social media and thought, “𝐖𝐨𝐰, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐦𝐞.” The perfectly curated photos and the success stories... ➡️ But the reality is... 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞, 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝-𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡? We’re ALL figuring it out one step at a time. No one has it all figured out....no matter how polished their feed looks. ➡️ We all have those days when things aren’t going the way we planned. 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓'𝐒 𝐎𝐊𝐀𝐘! It's part of the process. 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞, it’s more like a winding road with plenty of bumps along the way. But each step, even the tough ones, is teaching us something important! Trust the process, celebrate the small wins, and know that we’re all just doing the best we can. Keep growing, keep learning, and remember it’s okay to not have it all together :)) 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲! Happy Thanksgiving! A time to pause and appreciate life's simple joys. Family... The heart of our lives, always there for us. Friends... The ones who lift us up, and stand by us. Team... Our partners who help us grow and reach new heights. Clients... The drive behind our commitment to do our best every day. Vendors... The allies who help us deliver and achieve our goals together. And everything else... The small wins, the tough lessons, and the unexpected opportunities. In our busy day-to-day life, we get lost in numbers and goals. But let’s take a moment to focus on gratitude. → Thank your family for their understanding during late-night calls ↳ They quietly support your business journey behind the scenes → Appreciate your team's effort and commitment ↳ Their skills and ideas help move your business ahead → Value your clients' trust and collaboration ↳ Their needs inspire you to improve and innovate → Thank your vendors for their reliable support ↳ They provide the tools and services that keep things running smoothly → Appreciate your friends for their encouragement ↳ They offer a much-needed boost and remind you to enjoy the ride So today, take a break from the dashboards. Enjoy the moment with loved ones. Your business will thank you for it. PS: What are you most grateful for? #thanksgiving #takeabreak

As we ease into Thanksgiving celebrations with family and friends, I hope this post will serve a purpose when assumptions run rampant over your Thanksgiving table conversation. 🦃 How often do we get caught in the trap of believing we have all the answers? We think we understand the problem, know what someone else is thinking, or have a solution all figured out—only to realize later we didn’t see the full picture. A story from my garden reminded me of this recently. For months, I watched my usually vibrant flowers struggle, convinced I had failed them. I adjusted the watering, moved them for better sun exposure, and tried everything I could think of. Still, nothing worked. One day, I caught the real culprit—a squirrel gleefully digging through my pots and undoing all my careful work. I had spent so much time assuming the problem was my lack of skill that I missed a critical piece of the puzzle. It’s a reminder of how easy it is to default to assumptions in life and leadership. We assume we know why a project is delayed, what’s driving someone’s behavior, or why a plan isn’t working. But those assumptions often reflect our perspective, not the reality. The solution? 👉Pause and challenge your assumptions. 👉Ask questions. 👉Gather facts. Observe. 👉Most importantly, stay curious. When we let go of our preconceived notions and remain open to new information, we not only find better solutions—we build stronger connections and clearer paths forward. What assumptions might be holding you back today? Take a moment to step back, reassess, and let curiosity lead the way. Sometimes, the answers we need are right in front of us—we just have to notice them. Today, I won't assume you know how much having you in my world, digital and beyond, means to me. Instead, I say thank you. I am grateful. 🙏🏼 #mindset

#Thanksgiving is a reminder that the most meaningful growth often comes from taking a moment to hit pause. In the fast-paced worlds of business and life, we’re all guilty at times of getting caught up in the rush—chasing metrics, deadlines, and the next big win. But this season always brings us back to a simple truth: ➡️ The best insights, the strongest campaigns, and, most importantly, the sweetest moments in life all come from one thing: presence. As we take a step back this Thanksgiving, we want to express our deepest gratitude to: ✨ Our clients: You inspire us daily with your resilience, ambition, and drive to create impact. ✨ Our partners: You challenge us to think bigger, innovate smarter, and push boundaries together. ✨ Our team: Your dedication, heart, and commitment are the foundation of everything we do.Thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey. Together, we’re building something meaningful—step by step, moment by moment. Here’s to pausing, reflecting, and being fully present this holiday season. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful, restful, and gratitude-filled Thanksgiving! 🦃 🍁 Dan Ptak - #HappyThanksGiving #JumpSeat #ThankYou #SimpleTruth #Momentum #B2BMarketing

January blues? Bored at work? Why not write a Linkedin post? Start with some personal anecdote. New Year is a great time for this, you can share a heartwarming family Christmas story, maybe about not cooking the turkey quite correctly, your kids' gifts from Santa, or when you took a walk to the local park. Then turn it into a metaphor about how you learnt something relevant to work, business or life in general: 🧀 Get the emojis going to create pseudo bullet points like this, Make sure they're a couple of lines each to ram your point home. 🍩 Add something silly to elicit a smile. Keep it light and accessible though, there's no place for edgy humour here. 🚁 Maybe throw in a reference to current events. Make sure it's nothing too serious, there might be terrible things happening around the world but we're all too aware of them already. 🦉 Make sure you end with something suitably distinct and insightful; you wouldn't want anyone thinking you're not serious enough about your subject. 🪄 Get some GenAI to make you an image that sums up your key points with a random twist (see below). Having done all that, you can summarise what you've just said in this bit here, then hit Post and wait for the reactions and comments to roll in. Don't forget to furiously refresh your browser on "View analytics" for the rest of the week and bask in the glory of the numbers steadily climbing. Happy New Year! 😃

Happy New year AND Happy Friday everyone. Here’s something to reflect on over the weekend perhaps… Today’s read is about 5-7 minutes. Post-read pondering not included. I am a sucker for practical methods. I like the simplicity and practicality of this article. Whether you are a New Year's resolution person or not, I think this is useful whenever and wherever you choose to apply it. How might you use it? https://lnkd.in/gTKdU6U6 Last week’s riddle question and answer; I’m always in December, but never in any other month. What am I? The letter D. This week’s riddle is; I speak without a mouth. I hear without ears. What am I? Did you know? Should you ever want to look back on old versions of these, you can find them here https://lnkd.in/evtXrG-q Time for a moment to reflect, I think.

🦃 A Season of Gratitude: How to Say No with Kindness 🌟 As we gather around tables, reflect on the year, and celebrate Thanksgiving, I’m reminded of how essential gratitude is—not just in life but in our professional relationships too. One of the most challenging moments in customer success is saying “no” to a customer. But even in these moments, gratitude and kindness can shine through. 👌 Here are three techniques I’ve found useful for delivering a “no” while nurturing trust and understanding: 1️⃣ Express Gratitude for the Ask ✅️ Acknowledge the customer’s idea or request with genuine appreciation. For example, “Thank you for sharing this insight—it shows how much you care about improving [product/service].” Starts with gratitude-->leads to collaboration/partnership 2️⃣ Offer Transparency, Not Just Rejection ✅️Explain the reasoning behind the “no” clearly and thoughtfully. Customers respect honesty and want the "why". For instance, “We’re prioritizing X right now to ensure Y aligns with our shared goals, but I’d love to revisit this in the future.” Transparency shows respect for their time and perspective. 3️⃣ Provide an Alternative Path Forward ✅️Saying no doesn’t mean closing the door completely. Offer alternatives to meet the core need. “While we can’t implement this feature today, here’s a way you can achieve similar results with our current capabilities.” This demonstrates a commitment to their success even when a direct solution isn’t possible. 🦃 This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for the customers, this community, and for teams that make these conversations worth having. By saying no with strategy, we build partnerships based on trust and mutual respect—and for that, I’m endlessly grateful. What strategies have you found helpful when delivering a “no” to customers? Happy Thanksgiving week! 🦃 Also: Here is a picture of my kid playing in some Autumn 🍂 leaves, I hope whatever your week holds you find as much joy as she does when making a mess outside. Such a great list of reminders about finding Success and balancing that with Happiness. The 3 that resonate the most for me are this 1st one, #4 and #9. I'll share my thoughts on this 1st concept. The simple fact is that most people want to confirm their ideas before embarking on some project... Is often the exact wrong thing to do! Make sure that when you are deciding on something in YOUR life get feedback and guidance from trusted sources, people already doing what you want to accomplish. Don't just take advice from anyone and be clear with yourself that despite the advice you get, you will make your own decision. Right or wrong, you don't want to walk away from or jump into something without being 100% committed either way. Otherwise, you could live with regret or end up hating what you are doing. We have all heard the stories of people who defied the naysayers to build something amazing. As well as those who opted not to do, start, or build something because someone told them it was a bad idea, only to see someone else do it... Get advice, listen to feedback, and do your due diligence, just make your own decisions! If you found this helpful, reshare this post to your network and follow me for content daily.
