To all the working ladies in the corporate world. Perimenopause is not a disease, it is a way of nature telling you to listen to your body. Your body is going through a lot of changes, hormones are all over the place. It is not your fault. Brain fogging/forgetting, Disinterested in doing things, hot flushes, sometimes stepping out from/for office or home is a chore and Yes emotional outbursts on the tiniest things are very common. You still can control your internal environment by making informed choices about your lifestyle but the external environment is beyond your control. The corporate world does not make it easy for you due to its goal-driven policies and even if there are some protocols for women in the office there are none who walk the talk. My friends working in the corporate world have shared their experiences of suddenly forgetting the names/information/ numbers within seconds while giving presentations etc. which is so embarrassing. Mind you the colleagues/superiors do not make it easy. It is time that steps should be taken just as a way of educating men about it. Cultivating empathy and acceptance and creating a safe space for women. It is very common for a lady boss who is strong & and demanding to be labelled as “ menopause chal raha hoga “ It is not something women call upon it. It is a natural process that every woman goes through, exceptions are always there. Only if the Corporate world changes its mindset and is more inclusive then Women going through the menopause phase have it easy & and stress-free without having to go through depression, emotional breakdown, and Silent suffering. #timetochange #perimenopause #corporate #walkthetalk #empathy

In all the interactions I have with women in the work I do, the language around #menopause is often reductive before the work gets started. It can be considerations around reducing working hours, less social time, being too tired....less, less, less. When we're in a position of empowerment, we make those choices because we want to. Menopause doesn't get to dictate that. But what it does do, is offer the biggest opening (often the first in a woman's life) where she gets to become her true self, someone who prioritises her own health, and finds her joy and sense of purpose. An example of this is when a woman doesn't feel in alignment with her career or role that she is in, or other commitments in their life. It can often be that they were never in alignment, or didn't get changed as she grew, but it was easier to masquerade. Now it's a time when the gloves are off, and choices can be made from the deepest and most authentic place. #hormones #postmenopause #testosterone #DHEA #pregnenolone #dutchtest #energy #lifestyle #mood #fatigue #anxiey #oestrogendominance #hotflushes #depression #stressreduction #cortisol #sleep #breastcancer #menopausementoring #menopauseawareness #menopausesymptoms #menopauseintheworkplace #perimenopause #antiaging #healthylifestyle #stress

😔You're right, menopause symptoms can linger for years after a woman's last period. This can be surprising and frustrating, impacting not only her personal life but also her work environment. Here's a breakdown: Lingering Menopause Symptoms: ☘️Physical:🥵 Hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbances🥴, joint pain, headaches, weight gain. 🌟Mental: Brain fog (memory issues, concentration problems), anxiety, mood swings, depression. Impact on Work: ⭐Performance: Difficulty focusing, remembering details, and completing tasks efficiently. Disrupted sleep can lead to fatigue and decreased productivity. ☘️Attendance: Hot flashes or other symptoms may necessitate breaks or more frequent bathroom visits. Sleep problems can lead to increased absences. 😔Confidence: Brain fog and mood swings can affect a woman's self-esteem and confidence in her abilities. What Can Employers Do? 📢📢Awareness: Educate managers and employees about menopause and its potential impact. ✅Flexibility: Offer flexible work schedules, dress codes that accommodate hot flashes, and access to quiet spaces for breaks. 💡Support: Provide resources for managing symptoms, like access to health professionals or information on lifestyle changes. 🌟Open Communication: Encourage a culture where women feel comfortable discussing their needs without fear of stigma. By creating a supportive work environment, employers can help women navigate menopause and continue to thrive in their careers.

👇 Menopause will affect every woman at some point in their life. 👇 But what do you think of when you think about the menopause? 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐱𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬. But what if we told you that your way of thinking and the way you approach menopause can actually exacerbate or mitigate your symptoms? 🤔 Growth mindset and mental health coach Anna Mosley has shared with us her top tip for approaching menopause positively. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞. But what does that actually mean? Being above the line means you are taking personal responsibility, you're in power and taking action. If you are below the line, you are making excuses, you're in denial, you're blaming. So how can you stay above the line when it comes to menopause? 👉 Choose what action you can take now 👉 Think about how you are starting your day and how you can promote positive actions 👉 Get ahead of your symptoms, are there supplements you can take? CEO & Founder at Tonic Wellbeing | Performance, Growth & Wellbeing: Empowering individuals and organisations to thrive through holistic wellbeing, resilience, and positive culture change.
Happy #WorldMenopauseDay I’m just back from a fab Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce networking event having spent time with some amazing fellow business owners, managers and leaders (that’s a whole other post and story)!!! My message specifically today is the narrative around #menopause As a 52 year old female business owner it can be tough, at times, showing up front and centre when you don’t always feel like it. Sooooo many symptoms to choose from… hot flushes, night sweats, fatigue, insomnia, joint pain, anxiety, depression, irritability, brain fog, itchy skin & memory lapses, to mention just a few. Menopause is a natural part of aging It's a normal stage of life that can actually be a time for empowerment & personal growth. Time to be your very best authentic self 💪💪 It really is time that Menopause is no longer seen as a taboo subject. We should NEVER feel uncomfortable discussing symptoms or seeking support. It's important to break the stigma and have open conversations about menopause as it directly affects about half of the population and can indirectly affect the rest. The more we talk about it, the less taboo it becomes. The easier the conversations, at home and at work, will become. Tonic Wellbeing we offer a toolbox of wellbeing support and interventions with a selection of solutions centred around how to support employees. ✴️Manager training ✴️Awareness workshops ✴️Champion training ✴️Policy development Please reach out to find out how we can help. #menopause #wellbeingatwork #perimenopause #peoplefirst #menopausesupport #performance #perimenopausesupport #employeewellbeing
