✼ Are you ready for coaching? ✼ Our experience over the last 20 years has shown us that not everyone needs a coach, but we do believe everyone should be able to access a coach when they need one. We all know there are times when having someone objective to talk to helps tremendously. Those moments when, through skilled conversation, complications and confusions begin to become crystal clear. How do you know when you’re at one of those moments? There are four questions, in our view, that should be considered if you are thinking of engaging with a coach. - Are you ready to engage with and explore those ‘less comfortable’ thoughts? - Are you ready to hold yourself accountable for past and future choices? - Are you ready to learn? - Are you willing to give it enough time? If you work through these four questions and think ‘yes, now is the time, and I am ready’ then you are far more likely to have a successful outcome from a coaching relationship. If you want to know more about each of these questions, to see if you are ready for coaching, read our post – link in comments. #20yearsofmotion #executivecoaching #leadershipcoaching

Helping people and firms grow. Accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor. Marketing (FCIM) & business development consultant. Experienced skills trainer & qualified coach. Author (7 books published).
In preparation for the Coaching Skills Academy workshops (the next one is on 18th July) I’ve prepared some further learning resources for delegates. I’ve reviewed several coaching skills books in the past but have had requests for a really good introduction to the subject - so I’m recommending “The Coaching Manual” by Julie Starr. Highlights of this easy-to-read book include: · Process, principles and skills of personal coaching and attributes of a good coach · Lots of illustrative coaching conversations · Techniques from the Humanistic and Gestalt traditions of psychotherapy · Advocates a supportive, non-directive and collaborative approach · Seven coaching principles · Five fundamental coaching skills (building relationships, focused listening, use of intuition, asking effective questions and providing constructive feedback) · Barriers to coaching · The coaching path and coaching assignments in three stages · Emotional maturity as a key to coaching https://lnkd.in/eFWEkk8h PM Forum Managing Partners' Forum Jamie Butler Andy Lopata Julie Starr Larysa Hale https://bit.ly/3LdK0Yi

TAKE YOUR ENNEAGRAM COACHING TO A DEEPER AND HIGHER LEVEL The Advanced Coaching with the Enneagram 2.0 certificate program is designed to enable those who coach others to coach the whole person in context. It is based on the assumption that you are already familiar with core coaching theory and practice and know the Enneagram well and can already integrate it into your coaching. These four areas are utilized throughout the program, focusing first on the client as a whole person with integrated systems of thought patterns, feeling responses, and behavioral habits. Coaching Circles are used as a foundation for group (team) coaching. Coaches pursue an in-depth understanding of the mental maps of clients by enneatype and learn how to illuminate and challenge these mental models in service of the client’s growth. The program also helps coaches focus on how to coach clients to increase emotional literacy, creating awareness, openness, and expansiveness in clients of the nine enneatypes in order to strengthen and enrich their development. This ICF-accredited program is worth 50 ICF credits. Available only to coaches who completed “Coaching with the Enneagram 1.0” or who have at least three full years of coaching experience integrating the Enneagram with their coaching practice. April 29 – May 8 (M-W-F; M-W; 9:00 am – 2:00 pm PST) Registration Fee | $1900 USD Program materials are included in the registration fee: ‘Advanced Coaching with the Enneagram Notebook,’ full set of training tools, small Enneagram symbol map, and a 1-year subscription to the Enneagram Learning Portal. This program is worth 60 credits toward IEA teacher accreditation. Register now https://shorturl.at/cqwCS.
