A lot of single use floral foam is still used. Floral foam made from toxic plastics, which breaks down into micro/nano plastics. An estimate of 15,000 metric tons of floral foam is used in the European Union alone. The invention of floral foam dates back to the 1950s. 70 years of contaminating our soil, water and air. It’s about time for this toxic industry to change. So that this sector can set the right example for consumers. Time to inform each other about the amount of toxic plastic waste that is used at this moment. Let us preserve our florists' paradise, also known as planet earth, for future florists to come. Let’s really go green and choose a sustainable alternative, that is already available since 2018. 𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗨® the 100% natural alternative for floral foam. We understand that what is new can be scary. Especially when traditional floral foam has been used for such a long time.
