Today, we honor World Wildlife Conservation Day, a crucial reminder of the urgent need to protect endangered species and their habitats. Threats like habitat loss, climate change, and pollution don’t just harm wildlife—they disrupt ecosystems essential to all life on Earth 🐾💔 At Passages International, sustainability is more than a value—it’s a business opportunity. Traditional burial practices consume vast amounts of finite resources like steel and wood, which increasingly clash with the growing demand for eco-friendly options. By offering green burial products, funeral homes can not only align with modern consumer preferences but also solve the challenge of an ever-growing eco-conscious market. Here’s the truth: Consumers are asking for sustainable options, and meeting that demand can significantly impact your bottom line. Green burials allow funeral homes to diversify offerings, drive revenue with meaningful products, and distinguish themselves as leaders in an evolving industry. On this World Wildlife Conservation Day, let’s commit to making sustainable choices that benefit the planet, align with consumer trends, and support a thriving future for our industry. Together, we can make a difference 🌱💚 #WorldWildlifeConservationDay #Sustainability #GreenBurials #FuneralIndustry #EcoFriendlyFunerals #PassagesInternational #ProtectWildlife #TheNaturalChoice #DriveRevenue

Local wildlife plays a crucial role in maintaining the health and balance of our ecosystems. Birds, insects, mammals, and plants all interact in ways that support pollination, seed dispersal, pest control, and nutrient cycling. Protecting their habitats ensures these species can continue to thrive and perform these essential functions. Habitat destruction from urban development, pollution, and climate change threatens wildlife and disrupts ecosystems. When we preserve and restore natural habitats, we not only protect the wildlife but also enhance our environment, creating cleaner air, healthier soils, and more resilient communities. Supporting local wildlife conservation efforts, creating protected areas, and adopting sustainable practices are ways we can help. By doing so, we ensure that future generations can enjoy the beauty and benefits of a diverse and vibrant natural world. Let's commit to protecting our local wildlife and their habitats for a healthier planet. Know any wildlife conservation centers or got any favourite wildlife? Wildlife conservation is not just about protecting majestic species; it’s about safeguarding the intricate ecosystems that connect all life 🌍🐠. On World Wildlife Conservation Day, we turn our attention to aquatic species facing the threat of extinction. From the critically endangered vaquita porpoise to the vulnerable green sea turtle, many species rely on clean waterways to survive. Pollution, overfishing, and habitat destruction are pushing these creatures to the brink. Every piece of plastic we fail to dispose of properly can end up in their habitats, choking marine life or disrupting their food chains. This is why Think Ocean CIC actively collaborates with communities to clean up rivers, lakes, and coastlines. Every effort matters in preserving biodiversity. Let today serve as a reminder of the beauty and fragility of our planet's wildlife. By protecting endangered species, we also protect the delicate balance of our ecosystems. Together, we can ensure future generations inherit a world teeming with life. 🌊🐢 #worldwildlifeconservationday #biodiversity #thinkocean #wildlifeprotection #cleanwaterways #sustainability #actnow #plasticfreefuture #saveourplanet #communityaction

Make space for nature. Allowing a patch of lawn to grow wild, creating a wildlife border or hedge, keeping a pile of fallen leaves, bark or branches gives nature a helping hand to restore a biodiverse ecosystem and habitat for creatures great, small and minuscule. "Since the beginning of the 20th century, the UK alone has lost at least 97 per cent of its meadows" states Gill Perkins CEO of Bumblebee Conservation Trust. "Grasslands can provide an ideal environment for us to enjoy as places to eat, work and play in nature, while also providing the essential functions of carbon sequestration and oxygen-releasing photosynthesis." Letting grass grow longer allows it to develop deeper root systems as well encouraging other wild flowers to grow whilst also protecting the wildlife that lives there. Mowing less and at the right time, reduces the amount of carbon and green house gases released. It also means less maintenance for you and more time to enjoy what nature surprises you with next. I've also designed some sustainable totes and tees to help raise funds to support bees, wildlife, and our wellbeing :) - find out more and fetch yours here: https://lnkd.in/e3Eh7t-r How are you making space for nature at work and at home? #KitTheDog #BrandIllustration #BrandValues #Wellbeing #Nature #Wildlife #RestoreOurPlanet #GrowForYourWorld #ClimateCrisis Wiltshire Wildlife Trust The Woodland Trust RSPB Bumblebee Conservation Trust

A stark reminder of the impact of human activity on wildlife populations. The WWF's Living Planet Report reveals a staggering 73% decline in global wildlife populations over the past 50 years. Habitat loss, overexploitation, and climate change are the main culprits. While there have been some conservation successes, urgent action is needed to reverse this trend. Let's prioritise protecting our planet's biodiversity for future generations. #wildlife #conservation #environment #sustainability #wwf https://lnkd.in/erT-PvCG

3moGrowing up in Africa, this one is personal to me. I support all conservation efforts so that we can leave the many magical species and eco-systems for our children and grandchildren to enjoy and appreciate. We can and must do more or they’ll be more plastic in the ocean than fish…
