Currently, cell and gene therapies are prepared individually by highly trained professionals in cutting-edge facilities. Nonetheless, variability remains stubbornly high and a uniform manufacturing process is lacking. We want to increase the scalability of CGT manufacturing by eliminating the need for complex manual sampling steps through the introduction of smart automation. A ddPCR test was recently developed and validated at ICON Specialty Laboratories to evaluate the ratio of unmethylated to total target sequence (U/U+M) in ccfDNA isolated from K2EDTA whole blood (WB/K2EDTA) plasma.
