It is estimated that Montgomery County, MD, needs approximately 200 additional traffic signals to address current traffic flow issues and improve safety. This estimate reflects the growing population and increased traffic volumes in the county, which require more robust traffic management solutions to prevent congestion and accidents. #maryland #montgomerycountymd #roadsafety #trafficsafety #constructioncompany

So awesome to see our technology making real-world impact. Hey, Marylanders! Take action now and tell lawmakers to support Maryland’s infrastructure. How? It’s EASY. Choose your method: 1) Dial #250 and say “TTF” at the prompt 2) Scan the QR code 3) Visit https://lnkd.in/g7MY8h8i
A statewide Gonzales poll went out this month and revealed what Marylanders really think about our state’s transportation. When asked what Maryland’s most important transportation need is, 46% of respondents chose road maintenance. While transit & travel options are no doubt necessary & important, we need to maintain our roads & bridges, since they ultimately pay for themselves. What do you think? #annapolis #baltimore #infrastructure #roadconstruction #bridgeconstruction

30% of Maryland's road miles don't meet acceptable standards - ranking us 45th in the nation and well below the national average of 82%. Crumbling roads and traffic congestion stifle our economy and negatively impact our lives and livelihoods. Seen more potholes than usual in the last few years? Tell your legislators. Call #250 and say "TTF." Tell lawmakers how you feel. Maryland's roadway system spans approximately 70,000 lane miles across state, county, and municipal ownership. Alarmingly, nearly 50% of these roads are currently in poor or mediocre condition. https://lnkd.in/eVfjVhCW In response over the next two fiscal years, our Executive and Legislative leadership have reduced the roadway preservation program to just 1/7th of what is necessary to maintain our infrastructure. The facts and data are clear: we must invest the resources needed to preserve and improve our existing roadways before they deteriorate further. Gov. How do you do more for less? We are all under pressures to do more for less these days, especially with our public works budgets. Watch and listen how a Director of Public Works is doing more for less with his street maintenance budget. It is true that a multi year pavement preservation strategy has a return on investment, and help saves critical taxpayer dollars. #pavementpreservation #infrastructure #publicworks #innovation #ROI #streets

Politics and pedestrian safety are deeply interconnected, as political decisions shape the infrastructure, funding, and policies that determine how safe our streets are for people who walk. Here are some key ways in which politics plays a crucial role in pedestrian safety: 🗳️Funding for Safety: Budgets impact sidewalks, crosswalks, and road design. 🗳️Laws Matter: Speed limits and right-of-way laws protect pedestrians. 🗳️Health & Accessibility: Safe streets promote active, sustainable communities. 🗳️Equity: All neighborhoods deserve safe, walkable infrastructure. 🗳️Community Input: Leaders can act on local safety needs, like crosswalks or speed bumps.

Last month, PODS released its report on where people are moving in 2024. According to the data, Florida has lost its No. 1 spot after years of record-high migration numbers. Instead, the report finds that people are flocking to states like North and South Carolina — alongside many others in the eastern Sun Belt. If you are in Florida, we put together a checklist on how to pick an interstate mover. Hint: William C. Huff checks all the boxes. 😉 https://lnkd.in/gR-HFCKi #floridamigration #migrationtrends #carolinasrising #sunbeltstates #interstatemoving #movingchecklists #floridamovers #trustedmovers
