Our website has a shiny new look – let us know what you think! We are very proud of our website – it contains a wealth of information about intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) including links to research papers and guidelines on managing ICP pregnancies. We know that ICP is a complicated condition which can take some time to get your head around – time you don’t always have depending on the severity of the condition! Many of the families we support have never heard of ICP until they are diagnosed with it, and we know how important our research-based information is to them. Our website is always available, even when our support services aren’t open. Our webmaster Ian and Founder Jenny have worked incredibly hard on its design and transferring all our content across to get our new site live. The design template was chosen by trustee Natalie Brown who was key in researching the best platform to allow us to update our website and for the team to maintain it going forward. A special mention to volunteer, Vrinda, from Experian who offered her support and design expertise. A new website has been on the charity’s wish list for some time, but it hasn’t been possible to get the experts in due to finances and capacity within the team has been limited. However, Ian, Jenny, Natalie & Vrinda have done a fantastic job of pulling this all together themselves with no extra cost to the charity - a huge thank you to them for achieving this! #SmallCharityDoingBigWork #ResearchBasedCharity #Information #Support #IntrahepaticCholestasisofPregnancy #PregnancyComplications #Stillbirth #StillbirthAwareness #Website #SavingLittleLives

It's crucial to prioritize your health and that of your baby during pregnancy. To minimize the risk of birth defects, it's important to maintain a healthy lifestyle, avoid unauthorized substances and medications, be aware of your risk factors, and attend regular prenatal check-ups. While these measures are essential for minimizing risks, it's vital to seek advice from your healthcare provider if you have any concerns about your baby's development. At the You Matter Charity Foundation, we're dedicated to ensuring the health and well-being of every individual, particularly the healthy growth and development of our children. #YouMatter #HealthyBabies

Having a healthy pregnancy starts before a person is pregnant. Many risk factors for preterm birth are preventable and a person’s overall health is a strong determinant of their pregnancy health outcomes. This year’s March of Dimes report reveals many risk factors for preterm birth are not improving, and many pregnant people still are not receiving adequate prenatal care. Disparities continue to deepen for communities of color. Louisiana must prioritize the health of its moms and babies. We can all make a profound impact for today and future generations by investing in our communities, advocating for policy change, and raising funds for critical research and programs. #PrematurityAwarenessMonth
