Summer can often be a slow period for sales and customer success, but it provides us with a fantastic opportunity to reflect on our strategies and explore new approaches. 🌞🧠 Instead of seeing it as a dry challenge, why not view it as a chance to think outside the box and strengthen relationships? 🚀   This is how I am spending my summer time at work:   - Strengthening existing customer relationships - Utilising my network to gain a deeper understanding of customer needs and challenges - Thinking innovatively with customers to find solutions - Trying out new initiatives and ideas - Refining sales processes and material - Expanding my network and making new connections   Summer doesn't have to be a low season for creativity and innovation. Over the past few years at Cardinal Counsel , I've been deeply involved in our customer service experiences. Managing clients while handling most of the technical work can be quite daunting. I am not even going to downplay how hard this can be. However, one thing that has kept me going is my commitment to high standards. I make it a priority to keep my word and communicate promptly when circumstances change and make it impossible to deliver as promised. it’s hard. I know but we should all strive to hold ourselves to a higher standard. Why? Because only when you do so can you truly stand out and seize the opportunities that come your way. And I think it as simple as keeping to your word. Doing what you said you would do. 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐝, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. If you hold yourself accountable for meeting deadlines and communicate effectively throughout the process, I promise you, everyone will be happier. This is your reminder and honestly my reminder to constantly hold ourrselves to a High Standard. Happy New week!

What have you learned since you started your position???? We are celebrating everything February at Digital Edge today. We are celebrating our people, our work, our business and all those that engage with Digital Edge. The theme of the day has been 2 pronged. 1. Not settling for second best. it isn't about being 1st, it's about asking how we can be better. 2. Perspective. It is important to know how far we have come so that we can understand how far we can go. An amazing team session where I asked each of the team the question... What has been the biggest lesson you have learned since you started your position here at DE? Here are my teams answers and I LOVE it! - I can learn anything - The power of TEAM - I am more capable than I thought - I can talk to people and be listened to - I didn't think I was as adaptable - I didn't think I would be able to build the size of the systems I am now. - I am only ever a second or decision away from a change. I'm a second away from being anything and doing anything. WOW! Like, WOW! Incredible realisations. I am officially blown away by my teams reaction to this question. There was no huffing and puffing, no uncertainty and everyone answered with real conviction. What have YOU learned since you started YOUR position? GO!!!! Have a great weekend😘

We're back for 2024! Here's to an even bigger year with more jobs and more placements for you! When you start a new job it's important to know what is expected of you. Here's a few questions to help you understand when you're new to a team or business: 

Thrilled to share that I have completed my Consumer Insights and Market Intelligence externship with Beats by Dre & Extern! This experience has been incredibly rewarding and has helped me build invaluable skills. I got to learn the following during the 4 weeks: -Familiarized with Beats by Dr. Dre's vision, mission, and brand philosophy. -Learnt about the terms and concepts in branding and marketing Research and identify macro consumer trends among GenZ -Learnt and practised using various methods of data collection like surveys, interviews, etc. -How to conduct a brand and communication sentiment analysis -How to analyze Beats by Dre brand positioning and compare it to competitors -How to create and deliver a compelling presentation showcasing insights on how Beats can connect meaningfully with GenZ. special thanks to Special thanks to my fellow Externs and the team at Beats by Dre—Michael Guerrero and Camille Barbier for the guidance and mentorship through the process. I'm excited to apply what I’ve learned in my future career! 💃

Starting a new position

🚀 Reflections on my new role at NZTE 🚀   Excited to be three weeks into my role as a Sector Advisor at NZTE. Here are three insights from my journey: 1. Finish Strong: This is relevant before you even get to the start line. I do my best to apply this valuable advice from a previous manager, when it comes to leaving your old role. That said, time for a thorough handover is a luxury and not always practical. I was very lucky this time round to do a thorough handover. From previous experience, writing handover notes can feel like a gamble; unsure if they'll be relevant (or even read?). And balancing an overlap of roles if you are moving internally, can feel like drinking from two fire-hoses at once 🌊 🌊! 2. Embrace Uncertainty: Beyond the job description, the vastness of a new role can feel overwhelming. I'm remembering to keep curious and keep learning . While delivering value is important, you need an understanding of context, stakeholders, and objectives to make an impact. 3. People Power: I have loved hitting the ground running. This has only been possible, thanks to my amazing colleagues. Every 1:1 has helped me to broaden my understanding.
