We're proud of another big win last night for Sensible Strumming for Best Broadcast Radio Single PSA at the Radio Mercury Awards. 40% of popular country songs in the United States mention alcohol, many of which encourage listeners to drink their problems away. So we created a country song encouraging people not to. SAFE Project (Stop the Addiction Fatality Epidemic), a non-profit, partnered with Ryan Whyte Maloney, a finalist on NBC’s The Voice, and his band to create the single “It Ain’t 5 O’Clock Somewhere,” confronting country music’s glorification of alcohol. #createwithpurpose

Keep going Mollie Sending all our love, strength and support to The Saturday’s pop star Mollie King who has taken on an enormous challenge for @comicrelief. BBC Radio presenter Mollie is currently cycling from London to her dad’s home town of Hull, which is a massive 500km. She will be raising money for Comic Relief and paying tribute to her dad, Stephen, who recently passed away after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. What makes the challenge even more remarkable is that just six weeks ago, she had never even cycled on the road. Mollie is pushing through, battling hill after hill in pretty much non-stop rain, but it shows you just what can be achieved when you put your mind to it. The riders at Doltcini O'Shea are wishing you all the best to complete your challenge. To donate online and support Mollie’s challenge attempt, visit bbc.co.uk/mollie When the going gets tough…. 🚴♀️Stay focussed on your goal – remind yourself of the great things the charity can do with the money raised. 🚴♀️Break it down – think of your journey in smaller milestones when the road ahead seems never ending. 🚴♀️Lean on your support network – get a boost of encouragement from those around you. 🚴♀️Embrace the challenge – trust in your ability to overcome it. 🚴♀️Stay positive – don’t let the negative thoughts creep in, you’ve got this. #comicrelief #radio1pedalpower
