BizJet Activity Overview - Week 31 - Bumper bizjet demand for the Olympics Bizjet market´s bright spot this summer is Europe, with the Olympics drawing record numbers of private jet movements to France, the UK also enjoying the influx of sports fans into the region. Bizjet demand in the US seems to have hit the brakes in the last couple of weeks, having had a relatively strong July. Europe Week 31 -6% vs 2023 Olympics host country France🇫🇷 +19% vs W31 2023 Italy🇮🇹, Spain🇪🇸 and the United Kingdom🇬🇧 are also seeing a busier than normal start to August. In Germany🇩🇪, the boost from the UEFA Euros tournament has faded, activity trending -4% in the first few days of August. BizJet Activity Overview - Week 27 Overall - almost exactly matched Week 27 2023 - US seeing bump up, in contrast to declines in June - Europe saw -3% slide, mainly in private and corporate activity. Germany and the UK are seeing stronger YOY activity, tied directly to the draw of major sporting events. Europe 🇪🇺 activity -3% vs Week 27 in 2023, the last 4-week trend 2% down compared to last year. As the UEFA EURO tournament enters its final few matches, Germany’s🇩🇪 bizjet operators continue to benefit, with W27 activity 6% above W27 in 2023. In contrast to most major European markets, the UK🇬🇧 saw a 3% uplift in Week 27 compared to Week 27 in 2023.   So far in July, European bizjet activity has fallen 5% compared to last year, 4% ahead of July 2019. Bizjet activity in France🇫🇷 has fallen way back, sectors trending below July 2019, with large erosions in corporate flight activity. Even so, fractional programs in France are busier than the start of any July in the last 5 years, Paris to Nice the busiest Fractional city flow this month.   In other key markets, United Kingdom🇬🇧 and Germany🇩🇪 buck the European trend at the start of this month, both markets likely benefiting from sporting events such as Wimbledon tennis, the UK F1 Grand Prix and the ongoing UEFA Euros tournament in Germany. 📌 DB Completes ICE 3neo Transition on Amsterdam and Brussels Route 🚄 Deutsche Bahn (#DB) has successfully completed its transition to using the new #ICE 3neo trains on routes from Frankfurt am Main via Cologne to Amsterdam and Brussels, ahead of the UEFA EURO 2024 event. 📱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 - LED reservation displays, integrated tablet holders, and coat hooks. - Windows that allow #mobile phones to receive signals more easily, enhancing mobile phone reception. - 85% wool content in fabric covers for seats. - DB ordered 90 ICE 3neos from Siemens for operation in Belgium and the Netherlands. 🔑 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 - DB worked closely with #Siemens Mobility and European railway partners to speed up the transition. - DB offers climate-friendly travel options, adding almost 10,000 extra seats per day for ICE and Intercity trains during European Championship. - 14 special trains to support travel during UEFA #EURO 2024. - The ICE fleet comprises 410 trains in total.
