Through its relationship with Kenedy Ranch, Gulf Wind is deeply intertwined with South Texas’s history and culture. The ranch is owned by the John G. and Marie Stella Kenedy Memorial Foundation, and royalties earned from leasing part of the ranch to Gulf Wind allow the foundation to contribute the funds to local causes through grants.
By working with community partners, Gulf Wind is helping empower South Texas!

It's inspiring to see how Gulf Wind, through its collaboration with Kenedy Ranch, is not only advancing renewable energy but also enriching South Texas's cultural and historical legacy. The royalties supporting local causes through the John G. and Marie Stella Kenedy Memorial Foundation demonstrate a commendable model of community partnership and sustainable development. How do you envision these initiatives shaping the future socio-economic landscape of South Texas?
The longer people are without electricity, the more they are at risk. Think about not being able to store food, keeping medicines cold, and in some more severe cases when you depend on a machine to breath.
Having a decentralized grid: a smart grid where people do not just consume, but rather become prosumers, both buyers and sellers at the same time will prove necessary to future proof the grid. surely, it is not how grids were originally designed, however evolution will push it in that direction.

President of SESA Puerto Rico | A Conductor of the Clean Energy Transition
The longer the power is out, the more lives are at risk in Puerto Rico, said Charlotte Gossett Navarro, of the Hispanic Federation. Her organization has received and invested millions of dollars through a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) program and philanthropic endeavors to install rooftop solar energy systems in low-income homes and community centers.
“The piece that is important is how quickly are they are going to get these people back online,” she said from San Juan. “The longer we’re without power, the more of a disaster this becomes.”

Rule #1 of deploying hydrogen: Electrify first - Energy Exchange (edf.org)
Oh My Goodness - YES!
After talking to a number of people about hydrogen recently, and trying to articulate why it doesn't feel right to be prioritising it over offshore wind in the short term, this article confirms my sentiment!
(Thank you Tom Quinn for bringing it to my attention today!!)
We are scaling up innovative @Critical Services Microgrid capacity to reach facilities yet beyond the reach to restore grid power by superhuman utility line workers.
We have to identify and address the terrible challenges from Tropical Storm Helene: wind damage, downed trees, extreme flooding, landslides, and unimaginable damage to communications and infrastructure.
A little APPALACHIAN ENGINEERING can go a long way. Where there's a will, there's a way.
Many of you have asked for ways to help, some of you have just been sending me money, and so many of you have asked me for help. I now have something that feels relevant to my work.
If you have access to materials such as solar panels, inverters, batteries, mobile communications, and contained microgrids please send that my way- my group is scrappy, the things don't have to be new. This group can do a lot with a little.
If you don't have these materials, I'm asking for funding to help me get them, support local businesses, or close other critical needs. I will be in Charlotte for a few days and hope to be able to collect materials to bring back into WNC.

Tom McCasland, President of Mack Energy Co. with me to remind you of Oklahoma Energy Producers Alliance Annual Meeting March 21-22 - Sign up to attend and sponsor at okenergyproducers.org
From OPEA - #oepa works to promote and protect the rights of vertical oil and gas producers in Oklahoma. Having been in existence for only 5 short years, we have built a significant membership base, established firm relationships at the Oklahoma State Legislature and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission as well as have engaged positively with the general public, garnering overwhelming support for many of our initiatives.
Along with a full-time lobbyist representing us each day at the state capitol, our board of directors and members from across the state are continuously meeting with members of the legislature to press a small business oil and gas producer agenda.
Our regulatory affairs committee works daily with the Oklahoma Corporation providing significant feedback on issues that face our industry each and every day. The impact of these efforts has already been monumental.
We work with a litigation team in place to represent producers who have lost their vertical wells to horizontal frack jobs; on a contingency fee basis.
The Oklahoma State Legislature and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission are the key regulatory and elected bodies we work with as an organization. We strive to not only educate and promote our industry through our association, but we encourage each of our members to have a strong relationship with their own Senators and Representatives. Our staff provides tools and resources to members as well as legislators. We provide various opportunities through events, meetings and general communications for our members and legislators to network. OEPA also works tirelessly to have each legislator aware of the issues our industry faces on a daily basis.
It is also important that we advocate- when we have the opportunity- for our state to provide the resources necessary to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission so they can continue to support our ever-changing industry. We value each Commissioner and the staff at the OCC.

A substantial, €4.4 billion in gross value add, economic opportunity for both the south coast region and Ireland as a result of the development of the south coast offshore wind pipeline has been identified in a study carried out by BVG Associates.
These economic opportunities are in addition to the establishment of community benefit fund scheme that will support a suite of measures for community participation and community gain.
