It's a dynamic approach that transcends the boundaries of age, offering a positive impact on children from primary schools to secondary schools. The Importance of Play: How Children Learn Through Fun Activities Dear Educator, Play is a crucial aspect of every child’s life. Through playtime activities, children learn to think creatively and develop essential social skills. Play helps them grow physically, discover a wide range of emotional abilities, and make sense of the world around them. In essence, play is a vital component of a child's overall development. But how exactly do children learn through play? It’s simple - play gives children the opportunity to mimic what they observe and practice new skills. It provides a creative outlet for experimentation and helps them learn how to interact and communicate effectively with others. So, as we gear up for the new academic session, let’s make a conscious effort to integrate play into our classes and observe the positive impact it has on our students' learning and development. #tfn #education #consultant #psychologist #learn #play #teach #impact #lead #tfnalumni #tfnaa

🎓 Ever feel like traditional teaching methods just don’t fit adult learners? Adult education needs more than just a “follow the leader” approach! That’s where andragogy (vs. pedagogy) makes all the difference. When I shifted to a learner-centered focus, engagement soared, and discussions became transformative. Adults learn best through practical, relevant experiences that build on what they already know. Have you tried this approach? Child-led play is central to our curriculum and pedagogy in early years. Through play our children explore and develop learning experiences, which help them make sense of the world. They have the opportunity to practise skills, develop ideas and think creatively alongside other children as well as individually. The children communicate with others as they investigate and solve problems. That is why we provide an enabling environment, resources and experiences that enable children to make progress in their development and learning and allow them to learn through exploration, investigation and first-hand experiences. #LESAmazingLearning #LESGettingBetter #ISPFamily

Big-body physical play. This is how children build the foundation they need for success in school. This is how they load their hard drives/brains for attending, self-regulation, and self-control. Moving. Lots of moving. But children don't do enough of it so there is a pronounced rise in challenging behaviors in school. We can help you fill the gap between recess and PE between school and home. We are experts at play. Our curriculum and professional development (one mind-blowing package) is designed to empower teachers by giving them the tools they need to get kids moving, to calm the chaos, and improve everyone's day. #betterbrains #learnmore #movemorelearnmore #powerofplay #playmatters #outsmartthewiggles #movementpowerslearning #strongbodiesstrongbrains #playgap #brainscience #pe #recess #morepe #morerecess #SEL #teachers #teaching #teacherlife #curriculum #professionaldevelopment #elevatingchildhood #physicaldevelopment #developmentallyappropriate #DAP #playdivide #developmentallyappropriatepractice

We have so many directives and policies on what attainment is - and what it should be - what children should not do, what they must do - and when, what and how they can learn, all whilst wearing a certain length skirt or the 'correct' shoes... Can we have a 'FUN' policy too?!?!?! Having fun in school is not illegal as far as I'm aware... 🙄 And we learn deeper and quicker whilst having fun, so it makes some sense, doesn't it? 🤔 Why children should play throughout the school day... 😃 "Learning through play is powerful. We’ve seen the evidence that children thrive on play, developing lifelong skills and boosting their achievements in the classroom. Now we’ve been gathering tried-and-tested evidence from schools and teachers who put play in their lesson plans."
