Virginia "Ginny" Clarke is spot on. Yes, we are "underleveled, undervalued, undercompensated, underestimated"... and any other "under" compound word you want to insert.
But what if we framed it to being "under development"? Here's where we have the sacred responsibility to ourselves to build, transform, create, and iterate who and where we desire to be.
It's up to you... give no one else the responsibility to draft your existence.

It is so imperative to be mindful of the stories that you tell yourself for they will inform you on how to respond to adversity.
I love Ginny Clarke’s insights.
I think she brings up a great point that reminded me of the importance of leading one’s self. Especially when you feel undervalued.
No matter the scenario, remember your values, remember who you strive to be. In my case, I want to be a leader that at every step of my journey I help others achieve the task/goal, recognize their efforts and learn what gives them that spark to strive.

I really like this. Complacency at work sucks, both for you and your team.
Doing your best work despite a lack of validation can sting sometimes, but rarely will you regret it.
Worst case scenario is this:
- You have the opportunity to practice emotional intelligence by erasing validation as a prerequisite for creative action
- You hone your skillset and maybe even learn something new
- You create something awesome (to the best of your ability) that you can be proud of
Quiet quitting is intentionally sucking at your job, and giving in to the temptation of selfishness, entitlement and other negative emotions.
When you do this, who you're hurting the most is not the company or your boss, but yourself.
