We Have One Nuke-Building Facility. It's Almost on Fire. - Popular Mechanics A major fire has consumed more than 90,000 acres and is burning out of control northwest of Amarillo, Texas. The fire is also a short distance from the Department of Energy’s infamous Pantex Plant. Pantex is the only site in America dedicated to assembling and disassembling nuclear weapons, and its loss would be a severe setback. One of the US government’s most important national security facilities is under threat from nature itself. The Pantex Plant, which builds, refurbishes, and disassembles nuclear weapons, is in the path of an advancing wildfire threatening the Texas panhandle. The loss of the Pantex facility—the only one of its kind—would cripple America’s ability to refurbish and rebuild existing nuclear weapons, and to make new ones in the event of an emergency. https://buff.ly/3PpUA0V

1. It is not confirmed - a sunken submarine .... is kinda of their thing; but they are do come back up on their own power. 2. It sank at the dock, which seems to be some kind of accident - but salvageable. Probably. And maybe it might take 2 years to clean this up (not laundry jokes OKAY?) on the inside (water is not supposed to be all over the sub - on the inside. And sea water is kinda of corrosive.) and get it back on track. IF IT SANK. 3. If it was an accident and not a design flaw; or NOT a design flaw exposed by an accident - then this is a temp setback. If it was a design flaw - then lucky they caught it before Moby Dick did.
