With BladeBUG making the best use of a recent weather window, we were able to quickly deploy our crawler #robot to site to scan some targeted areas on an in-service blade using our TPAC #phasedarray ultrasonic testing equipment with an Olympus EMEA 0.5Mhz probe. Our team gathered multiple #datasets while Craig Popplewell, one of our #ndt subject matter experts dialed in remotely from his office 150km away to verify the scans in real-time. Whilst this was a testing exercise it amplifies the #value and #capability of a small multi-diverse team to mobilize rapidly, deploy the robot with payload, and acquire #datasets and insights not necessarily visible from the surface to support quick, informed decision-making. We cannot emphasize enough how grateful we are to have the support from champions like Darran Potter and DISTGEN FACCOMBE LGC LIMITED who have been instrumental in fostering cutting-edge #innovation and #technologies like BladeBUG. Having the ability to, test, develop, validate and trial new systems that form part of our robotic and automated solutions in real-world environments and on in-service assets is vital to improving the reliability and efficiency of both current and future operations. #windenergy #roboticautomation #collaboration
