EV batteries can be: - Refurbished or reconditioned for re-use in EVs - Repurposed for alternative lower-demand applications, such as residential or grid-scale energy storage, or to power wheelchairs, drones, and other devices - A source of valuable metals, including lithium, cobalt, and nickel, recovered through the recycling of EV batteries and used to manufacture new batteries Today’s supply of end-of-life EV batteries is limited, and only a few battery circularity businesses are in operation.
