Time for some innovation facts... 🌟🏢 This week, the top 100 innovators (companies leading the world in technology research & innovation) have been announced by Clarivate. Check it out whether your company is one of them here: https://lnkd.in/eM-UiuA5. Nice to see very familiar names of clients in there 😉! It's impressive as maintaining an edge in the innovation ecosystem is harder than ever. Ten (headquarter) countries are named in the top 100: Japan, USA, Taiwan, South Korea, China, Germany, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Sweden. 🏆🌍 The ranking of top innovative countries by World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO is also interesting: you can find their report here: https://lnkd.in/efHfDCEc. In the picture below you can see the top 6 innovative countries (photocredits to Midjourney with the creative mind of Bente De Bisschop 🙏). The top 10 list also includes the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and the Republic of Korea. Quite a solid representation of the European Nordics! 81 indicators drive this GII ranking. A categorisation of these criteria is: ● Science and innovation investment (think of R&D investment, international patent filings, venture capital deal numbers, ....) ● Technological progress (think of computing power, cost of renewable energy, ....) ● Technology adoption (e.g. connectivity, electric vehicle uptake, ...) ● Socio-economic impact (e.g. life expectancy, carbon dioxide emissions, ...) Rankings of course don't say it all...Back to the daily reality of working with the day-to-day innovators (the passionate individuals and teams!) in companies and countries pushing innovation forward 🙏 ! #GII #innovation MTI²
