Welcome back Sun Devils! As you embark on a new semester at Arizona State University, consider the Science of Happiness—a field rich with insights that can transform your university experience. Happiness is not just an emotion but a skill that can be cultivated through intentional practices. The role of meaningful work, strong relationships, and a sense of purpose in achieving genuine fulfillment are important components for acquiring happiness and retaining it. As you embark on your studies, consider how you can integrate these principles into your academic journey. Are you focusing solely on grades, or are you also nurturing your passions and building lasting connections? How might your approach to this semester reflect a commitment to both personal growth and collective well-being? Your answers could shape not just your academic success, but your overall happiness. Good luck this semester to all #SunDevils! #ForksUP! #ArizonaStateUniversity

7moI love this post! Along these lines, last term I dedicated a module of my new "Integrated Worker" (OGL 365) course to JOY & HAPPINESS in the workplace. We spend so much time looking at things critically that we may miss opportunities to think CREATIVELY and to remind ourselves of our passions, our sources of joy, and our reasons for re-engaging in our life's work.
