🐬 Did you know that Dolphins, purposely use Puffer Fish to get high? Like Dolphins, us Humans are pretty good at innovation. Here’s such an innovation that I couldn’t ignore for its positive social impact: Puffer Village in Ganvie, Benin Imagine a community where homes float gracefully on water, seamlessly adapting to rising sea levels. The Puffer Village in Ganvie, Benin, designed by Sajjad Navidi, is a groundbreaking project inspired by the biomimetic structure of the pufferfish. This smart village is engineered to tackle the challenges of climate change, specifically sea level rise, by using innovative and sustainable technologies. Biomimetic Design: Mimics the pufferfish's defense mechanism, inflating and deflating based on water levels, ensuring homes rise during floods and stay grounded during storms. Sustainable Energy: Powered by tidal and solar energy, ensuring a clean and green energy supply. Aquaponics System: Integrates agriculture within the village, providing food security and economic opportunities for residents. This project not only showcases the potential of architectural innovation in addressing environmental challenges but also highlights the importance of sustainable living solutions for vulnerable communities. 🌐 Learn more about how architecture is shaping a resilient future here are some hashtags: #SustainableArchitecture #ClimateChangeSolutions #InnovativeDesign #SmartCities #RenewableEnergy #FutureOfHousing #SocialImpact #GreenTechnology #ClimateResilience https://lnkd.in/dGTG5mGp

Africa has so much to offer alongside its neighbours the middle east and it seems like some of the ME infrastructure innovations are rubbing off. 😁
