The Reliability Dilemma – Are We Really Doing RCM Right? 💬 Industry Challenge: Have we diluted the essence of Reliability-centered Maintenance (RCM)? In industries like manufacturing, oil & gas, petrochemicals, and chemicals, RCM has become the cornerstone of ensuring operational efficiency and safety. Yet, there's a growing trend toward 'streamlined' approaches that claim to simplify RCM—but at what cost? 🚩 The Issue: These streamlined versions often bypass the rigor of the SAE standards, resulting in maintenance plans that miss the mark on actual reliability. This can leave businesses exposed to high-consequence risks on safety, the environment, and bottom-line performance. 💡 Key Insight: Maintenance plans are not reliability plans.
