Hi, this is Pauline and this is today's video on how to retire happily. So one of the things about being happy is that. We have a sense of purpose. And I know I've talked about purpose before. In retirement, it doesn't come naturally. Like it didn't work. You know, when we were working or at our career. But it's really not that hard. And. How I notice? If I'm a little. Lacking in purpose is I wake up. And I just don't feel that good. Yeah, it's not a physical thing. It's just. Do you have those days? Very different from the days when I wake up with a smile. An internal smile. That makes its way. To my my face, but internally it's there. So. I want to look with you today at what will it take. For you to wake up. With that smile inside. And one of the things. Is. To have our routines. Now we've talked about having daily rituals. We've talked about a lot of different things. Hobbies, volunteering, working, even if it's part time. And and, you know, just anything you enjoy. And. Really the purpose. Is when? We know that it's going to make a difference. So. When I. Clean up my garden out front. And. And it looks pretty. I know that yes, it makes me feel good. But people walking by? It makes them feel good too, because I know when I'm out with the dog. When I see a messy yard, it's like. But when I see a yard where people have really put some. Time and effort and love and caring into it. That's lovely. So whether it's gardening, volunteering. Painting. Whatever it is. Take it on. And. Set some goals around it. I'm the first one to say ohh goals that belongs in the career out of my life. But truth is, it also. Is something to look at. When we retired. What is our goal? What is our intention? For the day of the week, for the month of the year. And. Sometimes it makes the difference between a really wonderful day. And a day. So. Maybe. You can create a goal for yourself. Today, for instance, to set yourself. A routine. What am I going to add to my routine on a daily basis? And remember, if it's something that takes care of you, it then makes you much more available. To care for others. So. Thank you for being with me today. I hope that today you will have a smile on your face. And again tomorrow. And I will look forward to seeing you back here tomorrow.
