Reflection Piece... also, we're hiring! 3 months in to allowing our team to lower their working hours and condense into a 4-day working week without taking a pay cut... What have we learnt? TIME Firstly, the team massively value having more time. 1 day less a week having to fight through the rush hour, one day extra per week to spend time with their kids, doing chores, visiting elderly relatives etc. without it eating into their weekends. etc. PRODUCTIVITY Initially, our biggest fear was that our productivity levels might drop, when in fact, they have remained level in most areas and actually increased in others. We allow the entire team to have 1 hour before the phone lines go active, to catch up on admin, organise their tasks, coordinate with other team members, underwriters etc. This "Power Hour" has massively paid dividends with the team now able to get ahead of the day rather than starting behind. CLIENT SATISFACTION Although moving to this model was a big deal for us, we made a point not to go out of our way to tell our clients of this change. Yes, there are a few who we've discussed it with but not many. I am pleased to say that not one single client has noticed that we've moved to this model of their own accord. The system we have in place to allow clients to continue getting the same level of service right the way through the week is working just the way we planned. and the team have taken to it like a duck to water. On this note, we are looking to expand our number once again. We're on the look out for a Customer Service Advisor. Insurance Experience a plus but not essential.
