The Evan Easley Memorial Golf Tournament took place this weekend in O’Fallon, MO, and it was another tremendous success! With more than 100 golfers participating, thousands were raised for HLH treatment and research benefiting the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. 🏌️♂️ A special highlight was the appearance and inspiring speech by Laila Anderson, a local celebrity and the STL Blues inspiration during their 2019 Stanley Cup Championship run, who was also diagnosed with HLH in 2018. 💙 Our Senior Account Manager, Matthew Friedhoff, proudly represented PaymentCloud, playing golf in memoriam of a beloved friend, Evan Easley. #TeamPaymentCloud #EvanEasleyMemorialGolfTournament #HLHResearch #CincinnatiChildrensHospital

Studies show that a future high school, college or NFL player who starts tackle football at age five may have 10 times the odds of developing CTE than if he had started at 14. But this isn't just about football. Girls soccer experiences more concussions per capita than any other sport. Let's face it, all youth sports come with an inherent risk of head trauma. We don't want to stop youth sports, we want to make them safer. We want to #EndCTE because my grandchildren deserve to get the same benefits from participation in sports that I received, but with a lot less risk. With YOUR support @Concussionfoundation can grow its educational programs like Stop Hitting Kids in the Head. Our goal is to convince every sport, especially football, soccer, and rugby, to eliminate repetitive head impacts under age 14. Please consider supporting me in efforts to help #EndCTE for our future generations. Go to https://lnkd.in/eVRzhuUV to donate!

What behavioural studies of groups have shown is that within most any grouping of everyday people there are those that take steps forward despite the barriers and oppression they face daily. Someone is always innovating and those scattered bright spots point to solutions around barriers. Rather than leading to just individual success, history has shown that in communities where such positive steps and resources are shared, entire communities tend to move forward together. That is the natural force being tapped by Awake's Peer-Driven Change(PDC) Model. At Awake our changemakers are the real champions of our PDC model. For the last 3 months we at Awake led by Mediantrics Doris and Edwin Kirima have documented the amazing changemaking stories of Awake changemakers highlighting the effectiveness of our PDC approach. Today we celebrate two brother and Awake changemakers Paul Oluoch and Moses Onyony who founded LEAP INITIATIVE to empower young people economically and offer support to undeserved children through charity. When we see Paul and Moses we see changemakers! #awakeimpact #awakeat8

IT'S A HEART THING Glen Meadows located in Hamilton, Ohio has a monthly BINGO store for their residents; the residents get BINGO bucks for participating and winning games. Torlana is a Restorative Aide at the facility and one of her residents doesn't like BINGO but like to shop at the store. Torlana takes him and then with her own money makes a donation to the store. We have so many good staff that go above and beyond for their residents because they become like family. Doing something extra for someone and not wanting anything in return is a beautiful thing. Foundations Core Value #2 is "Do what is right, even when no one is watching." Torlana is one of so many more of our caring staff across the State that give so much of themselves to their residents and fellow staff. They are our Culture of Care, and they are making a difference every day. You don’t do the right things for credit, you do it because it’s right. Torlana does what she does for her residents because it makes her residents feel happy and at home! By doing what’s right and not looking for recognition makes everyone’s jobs and lives easier and more fulfilled. It's simply a heart thing. #heartthing #doingwhatsright #glenmeadows #foundationshealthsolutions #cultureofcare #makingadifference #seniorliving #seniorcare

🌟 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐟𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 🌟 Yesterday's fundraiser at Ibrox was more than just collecting generous donations; it was about sparking conversations on the important link between dementia and football. Huge shoutout to Leighann, our Community Fundraiser, for organising the event and for leading a great ‘Knowledge Hub’ session on the topic at our recent team meeting! 👏 Football is close to our hearts, but it's essential to address concerns around dementia among players. Recent research from the Manchester Metropolitan University Institute of Sport sheds light on the immediate impact of football heading on brain function and communication with muscles. The study found that participants who headed real footballs experienced impaired cognitive function, emphasising the need for further exploration into the long-term effects on brain health. While the risks associated with repetitive heading are concerning, increased research funding shows promising steps toward player safety. At our Bannockburn Peer Support+ sessions held at Bannockburn and Eastern Villages Community Hub, we're all about supporting those with a passion for sports, including football. Our sessions are jam-packed with fun activities and discussions, tailored to meet the needs of local communities If you weren’t at the match but still want to donate, you can do so through our JustGiving page by clicking the “Donate” button on our JustGiving page: https://lnkd.in/edrkxKD2 Join us as we continue to raise awareness, provide support, and champion the well-being of people affected by dementia throughout Forth Valley. 💜⚽ #JoinTheConversation #FootballAndHealth #CommunitySupport #BannockburnPeerSupport+

It’s time agaaaain! For the IRC’s virtual race for raising human trafficking awareness. “What is a virtual race? Great question. It is much like a regular race but instead of going to one place for a designated route on a certain day you can do it at your own pace throughout the month - ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. Okay, so maybe not much like a regular race... but better. 😎 Our virtual race is set up as a challenge: How many miles can we as a community accumulate towards Human Trafficking Awareness. This race can be as little or as many miles as you would like to track -- hopefully as many as possible! This is an inclusive race and can be walked, run, rolled (skates, wheelchair, handcycle, bike, etc.), or swam. While the main goal of RFP Virtual Race is to spread awareness of the issue regarding Human Trafficking as well as support the IRC's Anti-Trafficking efforts in the community, you also have the option to raise funds for survivors through our Venmo account. This is OPTIONAL - the race is completely free to participate in. The Venmo account is @IRC-Florida and the QR code can be found here. Please tag the donation as RFP or Race for Prevention. ” sign up here: https://lnkd.in/gXzd6kEY Tabetha Reynolds IRC

#GetfitGiveback - April is Limb Difference Awareness Month and although I am late to the party on this my wonderful wife Michelle Urbaniak has been all over her fitness goals and fundraising goals. There is still time left to make an impact and also added motivation heading into those summer months ahead! Michelle's initial goal of $500 was crushed very quickly and she has reset it for $2,000 which I anticipate being raised higher before the end of the month. This is our first year doing this and we look forward to running it back next year + getting ahead of fundraising efforts. Lucky Fin Project was a major comfort for our whole family when we found out our son, Ben, was diagnosed with Symbrachydactyly and ever since we've made every effort to give back and celebrate our little guy's difference. Check out the link below for more information about #LuckyFinProject and team Ben Urbaniak below. About: What We Do: – Create a support network for parents across the U.S. and around the world. – Link parents to medical information and resources. – Provide education on limb differences. – Financially support efforts for children to attend specialized camps, obtain prosthetics, and to fund other organizations within the limb different community. Mission: The Lucky Fin Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that exists to raise awareness and celebrate children and individuals born with symbrachydactyly or other limb differences (upper, lower, congenital, and amputee). #getfitgiveback #10fingersareoverrated #luckyfinproject #limbdifferenceawarenessmonth

Should be thought provoking:
Exciting news… UK IT Leaders are privileged to announce Kevin Sinfield CBE as one of the key note speakers at our Community Day on September 25th in Birmingham. Kevin is a Leeds Rhinos rugby league great, turned England rugby union coach turned charity fundraiser. He will be speaking about what he has achieved on and off the field. His inspiring leadership and relentless focus on fundraising for MND shows how we should all strive to care more for each other. Kevin is a rugby icon. But in recent years has shown heroism of a very different kind through his selfless and extraordinary fundraising for motor neurone disease (MND), the terminal illness that has affected his best mate and former teammate Rob Burrow. You are likely to leave the event, thinking differently about who would you go the extra mile for to help in life. We can’t wait for this and are so pleased for all our community, guests and sponsors that they will be able to be part of this.

My beard is still SAFE!! for now We have raised an amazing $7000 so far for #movember We may not have reached our fundraising target just yet, but I'm committed to keeping my end of the bargain. Your donations are helping raise awareness and support crucial men's health initiatives, and that's a goal worth striving for. The journey towards our $10,000 goal may still be ahead of us, but with your continued support, I have no doubt we can get there. Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your incredible generosity and support. Your contributions are making a real difference in the fight against men's health issues, and for that, I am truly grateful. Link is below Tech Data APAC https://lnkd.in/d5k-MMmY
