Matthew Keys sat down with our CEO Guy Edri and Denis Oštir to learn about what VIDAA is all about. "We are happy being just a platform," Oštir told StreamTV Insider. "We do not want to be the content provider, we do not want to be the hardware manufacturer, we do not want to be the ad tech provider. We are looking for partners in all of those areas, because we understand it is a complex ecosystem — there are many moving parts, and to try to do everything at the same time is difficult." One of the way to improve user experience of your app is to prioritise the network requests you are making. For eg :- You are a live streaming app like rooter and your user is watching a livestream. 1. You have 2 network requests to make, one for maintaining a buffer for the livestream and another one for pushing some analytics event. 2. Now if you make both of these requests at the same time they would just compete with each other equally unless you set a thread priority for both of them. 3. Another way can be to delay your less priority network calls if the exoplayer is in buffering mode (user is waiting for some onscreen data). 4. Instagram does the same by sending in a request priority parameter with each request to the network layer. Follow for more practical performance tips :)
