Week #7 in our MagicOrange ITFM /TBM Pathway To Success series continues to feature Step 1, which is the Assessment & Plan stage. Now that the development of the improvement initiatives stage is complete, you next need to evaluate and prioritize all of these initiatives so that an executable plan can be prepared and presented for approval.
We show below the two types of analyses that we have developed to aid in this exercise.
The first analysis type is based on the stated Complexity and Priority that was assigned when developing each initiative.
In addition, the value of each initiative is shown by varying the size and color of the circle used for each initiative. Highest value initiatives are orange and the largest circles on the chart.
By grouping the initiatives using this chart it will aid in the analysis and selection of which initiatives should be selected and in what order.
The second chart uses the same initiatives and plots them in six month waves, so that you can prioritize the implementation and have a full view of when each one would be done.
In this chart the initiative circles represent duration, where the largest orange circles would take the longest to complete.
