HAPPY FRIDAY! We made it to the finish line...almost 😓 Facing challenges head-on is an essential part of success in facility management. This week presented its fair share, from repeated roof leaks to broken garage doors and vendor/contractors falling short of expectations. Broken garage doors, leaky roofs and clogged toilets may hinder operations temporarily, but they remind me of the importance of proactive maintenance and the value of reliable equipment. Through prompt repairs and diligent upkeep, it ensures smooth functioning and uninterrupted productivity. On the flipside...vendors and contractors can test our patience, but it also reinforces the importance of clear communication and accountability. By holding contractors accountable to their commitments and seeking alternative solutions when necessary, I am upholding standards and reinforcing trust that I will get the job done. As a facility manager, I understand that challenges are inevitable, but it's how I respond to them that defines the level of success. I try to embrace the challenges and view them as opportunities for improvement and innovation. I will continue to approach each challenge with determination, creativity, and a commitment to excellence. Here's to conquering this week's challenges. I know you all crushed it! Go ahead and take the next two days off, you deserve it 😉 Hydrate and PRESS-ON 👊 #FacilityManagement #OvercomingChallenges #bridgestone #Resilience #veterans #dailygrind #fridaymotivation

Holiday Let Consultant and Coach | Customer Relationship Management | Podcast Host, Trainer and Guest Speaker
Do you ask your guests to do this? I have had many conversations lately about this and there are many different local rules around how guests waste should be removed, ie. the outside wheelie bins. It seems to come down to 2 ways: 1. The host or property management company remove it at every changeover 2. Local council or contractors uplift the waste as per a commercial contract, not necessarily on a changeover day. As a property manager for 10 years our guests were always responsible for putting out the bins. They had to pull them to the kerbside on the night before collection. At times this was down a long driveway. Clear instructions were provided in the property and it was never a problem. It did mean that on arrival there was waste in the bins from previous guests, but during their stay the bins would be emptied for the guests and so on for the next guests. If guests went out and there were no incoming guests, then we would put the bins out for the property. Being a guest myself I have never had a problem with putting bins out to be emptied. After all I have booked 'Self' catering. I would love to hear what others do. Do you ask guests to put the bins out? Or if you are the guest does it bother you to put the bins out? #propertymanagement #holidaylets #shorttermrentals

Another 5 stars: The most detailed and professional cleaning service I’ve used! They managed to deep clean stains I didn’t even know were possible removing and did an extremely thorough job, getting into all the nooks and cranny’s that a lot of cleaners will avoid bothering with. When I say I want a cleaner, THIS is the level I expect so I appreciate them so much and very happy we found them 😄 We want to use them more regularly but they need more Woking clients to make it commercially feasible, so Woking people you need to give them a ring ! You won’t regret it 😊 #rating #fivestarreview #coustomerfeedback #clientsreview #alvservicescleaners #alvservices #alvservicescleaners
