Collaboration Starts with a Sense of Purpose: Part III 3. Build networks out of trust and purpose- Networking is great but often abused. Scholarly networking ideally should not be about seeking who to 'explore' or exploit for the next opportunity. It should be first about connecting because you share similar interests, a sense of purpose and passion, and you are purposefully and/or professionally compatible. Quality networking helps collaborations.

In our interconnected world, the boundaries between us are shrinking. While this presents incredible opportunities for collaboration, networking, and learning, it also means that our actions and decisions can have far-reaching consequences, which should not be underestimated. Embrace the positive side of this interconnectedness by expanding your network, seeking diverse perspectives, and fostering meaningful connections across borders. LinkedIn is a perfect example for global connectivity. Always try to be nice and helpful; many of the people you meet today will be around for years to come. I help psychologists develop their best practise. Board approved supervisor. Passionate psychologist. Writer.
In your first year as a registered psychologist, forming meaningful networks is important. I say this as someone who was never big on typical networking opportunities. I attended my local APS meeting and was so bored by the politics I didn't come back. I found the milling about between sessions at conferences awkward. But I eventually found my people and I can't recommend it enough. Even if it's just one or two psychologists who you can reflect on your work with, it's worth it. You work with your clients to help them grow, so take your growth seriously too. Form a meaningful network and your growth will take off.

Networking, is an oft heard word in the electronic world in current times. While the young are often shaken by the absence of a wired network, it is pure joy to build-rebuild-renew human network chains. And what does it do for us ? In same light, did read some meaningful lines today : It is easy to develop a tunnel vision. We might be surrounded by news about what’s going on in the world, but we still get so involved in our personal dramas and demands of our lives that we loose perspective. Hence, human network to one’s own advantage. It was a pleasure to reconnect and network with Swati Jagiasi after five years ! Both of us in different phases of life and career. And thank you Mr. Harsh Vardhan Jajoo to create and host the networking at NSBT. And Swati Jagiasi for your thoughts, your keen observations and being impressed with our efforts at impactful visual appeal and industry focused academic program . Look forward to more networking opportunities to ideate and energize. NATH SCHOOL OF BUSINESS & TECHNOLOGY (NSBT) #joy of networking # Networking of Humans in different environs
