PDR - Planning, Design, Research’s Post

The most compelling workplaces have common characteristics that transcend location, work style, and industry — one attribute being the seamless integration of inside and outside. Flexible work and social spaces, coupled with access to outdoor courtyards and terraces, provide a healing environment that humans crave while boosting the well-being needed for productivity and business success. Take The Assembly, for instance. Upon entering, the spacious main area reveals views of the vast lush terrace from many vantage points, making for more energized focused work, meetings, happy hours, or spontaneous employee connections. I love how you're mindful about how design effects people's energy, peace of mind and productivity. This is a complex equation because people are so different and have different needs based on hardwiring as well as subjective criteria. I'm not a designer. But, because I love architecture and help organizations to build high-performing teams using human analytics, I enjoy contributing my two cents when clients are making design decisions. Congrats on your success!
