This week on #LeaderSpeak, we have Riya Rupani, Associate Vice President at Zeno Group, sharing insights on thriving in PR's evolving landscape. Emphasizing adaptability and continuous learning, she asserts that "Knowledge is King/Queen" in delivering value to brands. Don't miss it!
Her Quote:
"While PR is a job, it is much more than that for me. It is a way to inspire the masses and bring forth to light the various exciting developments happening across the country and the globe. The art of skillful conversations, inspiring leaders, and never-ending access to knowledge inspired me to take this up as my career. Over the past 8 years of my career, I have seen a significant increase in understanding of PR by people who are not part of this profession. I have also seen an increase in keenness from brands to explore new-age mediums of communication, moving beyond print to videos, podcasts, and digital/social media as well as an influx of technology for creative storytelling. One non-negotiable skillset that all comms professionals must have is the ability to evolve- evolve with time, evolve with the new set of talent, and evolve with the ever-changing expectations of brands. To stay relevant, never forget your basics- research and openness to learn. To all the newbies joining this field, I have one advice – which is to always be your own motivation; motivation is internal and not external. So, stay passionate, love what you do and never give up an opportunity to learn, because contrary to the popular belief of ‘Content is the King’ I would like to believe that ‘Knowledge is the King / Queen’ in this profession and will ensure you deliver value to the brands you partner with."
