The opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in sport remain shockingly limited. This is part of a longer term project at Physio4You to work with other partners to create a variety of inclusive opportunities for disabled people to take part in sport and be physically active. Physiotherapists can take a lead role in this, and our 'beyond the clinic' mantra is an essential part in shifting our own treatment paradigm and viewing activity and sport as part of rehabilitation, not the outcome of it. #physio #neurophysio #traumaphysio #paedsphysio

Swinging Basketball! 🏀 🏀 🏀 This swinging activity is another great way to work on visual vestibular integration while targeting core engagement! You can easily do this with a home swing set, at the playground, or in a clinic. Set up a ball in front of the swing with a basket a few feet away. Get momentum to swing and grab the ball with your feet, then drop it into the basket. No basket? Pass to a parent or friend instead!
