The new #FormulaE Gen 3Evo car hasn't even hit track yet (which will see Formula E cars run 4WD for the first time, apparently enabling 0-60mph in 1.8secs) and we're already getting an idea of the technology roadmap for the next 6 years courtesy of the FIA publishing its manufacturer registration documents. Season 13, likely to start at end of 2026, will see the cars have... - up to 600kw in qualifying (800bhp) - up to 450kw (600bhp) in the race. - Using a new 55kwh battery, which will be topped up by 700kw regenerative braking and 30sec long 700kw pitstops. - To help get that power and energy to the ground there will be new softer tyres. Porsche, Nissan, Jaguar and Lola have already signed up to Gen 4, with more expected soon. And by Season 17, the battery is expected to get bigger (66kwh) and see the cars run the race with the full 600kw / 800bhp.
