I missed most of the opening ceremony (including cheering on Team Sierra Leone), but I did catch Celine Dion’s breath-taking performance, which left me in tears. It’s moments like these that remind me of the power of #SelfBelief and #determination. You don’t need to have overwhelming confidence to believe in yourself—sometimes, just a small spark of faith is all it takes to make your dreams come true. Like a tiny mustard seed, which, though small, holds immense potential, even a little self-belief can set off incredible transformations. As Martin Luther King Jr. wisely said, "Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step." This beautiful reminder encourages us to start our journey even when the path isn’t fully clear. Every great achievement begins with a single, often modest, thought and a brave step forward. So, whether you’re diving into a new project, considering a career change, or working towards a personal goal, remember: it’s perfectly fine not to have everything mapped out from the beginning. 🚗🏞️ The Road Less Traveled - A Journey of Resilience Once upon a time, in a small, quaint village, lived a young aspiring race car driver named Sam. Sam had a dream - to conquer the toughest and most treacherous race track known as "The Dragon's Trail." It was a track shrouded in legend, a path only for the bravest. One foggy morning, Sam's trusty car broke down. Disheartened but not defeated, Sam decided to walk to the track, determined to race. On his way, he met an elderly man, wise and serene. The old man shared tales of the track, its challenges, and its unforgiving nature. Undeterred, Sam began his journey. The track was indeed fierce, filled with sharp turns and steep climbs. Each turn seemed to whisper, "You can't make it." But Sam persevered, driven by the passion to fulfill his dream. As the race progressed, an unexpected storm unleashed its fury. I actually don't really promote or celebrate overworking, but thought the visual would be amusing. Earlier in my career, I recall André Alguero dismissing lauded developer heroics as actually being poor planning. So set appropriate expectations, reset them ASAP if you estimated incorrectly, and live your life. Oh, yeah, and work. Team work is a power

The year 2023 is coming to the end. It's so great the idea to trace a line for a new restart. It sounds like an opening door bring new opportunities. 🤟 I am taking my time with my family and I had time to think on how much we have built in 2023, of course I even listed the objectives for the incoming year 2024 and the lessons learnt! 🤪 As always the best practice is not to sit on what we have, it will never being consolidated forever without our care and follow up; I refer to health, business, investments, wife/husband, kids, families, colleagues and friends. We cannot leave one thing without our attention, we have to keep them in balance. This is part of the game! 🤨 🤔 😂 But most important thing we have to be grateful to the people that stay close to ourself, that accept us as we are, for the time we spend together and for sharing may be the same interests and objectives. 💪 I look to the 2024 regenerated and full of energy and positivism. I know that goals won't be reached following the generic outlook given by economical and political forecasts but mostly by our strength and by the day by day team work. 😉 2024 you are welcome! We had the great pleasure of having Jessica Watson, the first girl who sailed across the world by herself, at our leadership meeting this morning and she managed to inspire each one of us to get on our proverbial sailboats and start our journeys armed with powerful inspirational advice. I highly encourage watching her documentaries because her experience is just remarkable, but having her in person just made it so much more relatable. Here is the advice that she shared today: 1. When you feel overwhelmed, don't lose sight of the huge goal, but just focus on the next few nautical miles. 2. Surround yourself with people that have your same ambitions and can help you work through any obstacle. 3. Scenario planning and back-up plans are as important as the execution. 4. It is important to have people from different backgrounds and perspectives to ensure as many points of view are part of your strategies and plans. (this connects directly in my mind to #inclusion) 5. Put yourself in a situation where quitting is not an option. Build the options around you so that it is easier to keep going forward, than to quitting. 6. Stay strong when you are facing your #liquidhimalayas 7. Enjoy the beauty and simplicity of all things 8. Embracing vulnerability is part of being strong I strongly admire this brave woman and thank her for sharing her story and wisdom with us.
