I didn’t know what an Integration Architect (IA) was before I applied to Oracle. The title was intimidating to me, but I still applied. For those who might not know, here’s a condensed version of what I do to support EHR implementation projects as an IA: - Identify project risks and facilitate mitigation plans with key decision makers - Investigate and drive issues to resolution - Develop a strategy and timeline for PROD and nonPROD domains - Ensure code levels are up to date and in alignment with client priorities - Refine change control and governance processes - Manage access to various systems for internal and external project teams Moral of the story: Don’t let an advanced title, job description, or company stop you from going after your next opportunity!
