8 years ago, I connected with this handsome, generous and gracious man via BBM, can't remember exactly what BBM channel we made the connection from but as we began chatting, the seed of friendship was sown. This is also where we adopted the name "twinny"(we had observed some resemblance from our display pictures). 5 years ago, December 1st 2018, we both saw each other in person for the first time. 4 years ago, by Feburary 2019, we had both come to the realization that the friendship we share wasn't the type we could have while being partners to some other persons and by 17th March 2019, we got the confirmation sound code "FIT". 3 years ago, the year 2020, an official engagement happened on the 17th of February 2020 then after COVID holiday🤣, family members got officially introduced, court wedding took place on the 9th of September 2020, 28th of October 2020, traditional rites were fulfilled and on the 1st of November 2020, we had our White Wedding/celebration ceremony. As I look at our journey so far, I testify that indeed, except the Lord builds a house, its builders build in vain, except the Lord watches over a city, the watchman watches in vain. The Lord watches over THE STEPHENS, He neither slumbers nor sleeps — the LORD is the shade at our right hand; the sun will not harm us by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD keeps us from all harm— He watches over our life; the LORD watches over our coming and going both now and forevermore. Amongst the list of programs and materials I have birthed as the team lead of Pearl Careers, the Career Clarity and Life Skill course, launched in 2022 is a comprehensive product through which the vision is actualized. This course, designed for students in grade 9, has been nothing short of ground-breaking. It has provided students with academic, career, and all-round clarity, as well as the practical skills needed to live a purpose-driven, fulfilling life. The curriculum encourages students to navigate through life's challenges with resilience, solve problems with analytical thinking, communicate effectively, radiate self-confidence, nurture healthy relationships, empathize with others, embody a culture of honor, and manage their lives in a productive, balanced manner. The students, as they transition into adulthood and the professional world, are well-equipped for every endeavor that comes their way. Thus, making the impact of this course reach far beyond the classroom, touching the very heart of our society. The feedback from parents, teachers, and school administrators has been overwhelmingly positive, affirming the noticeable and sustained improvement in academic performance, behavior, and the overall well-being of students who have participated in this course. However, there are more young persons to be reached. Collaboration in achieving quality and sustainable development in the education sector cannot be overstated. Hence, with a mission to mainstream the Career Clarity and Life Skill course, ensuring that every African student, by the time they reach S.S.S.1 (Grade 10), is equipped with this invaluable knowledge.
