At the launch of CORI (Center for Organization Resilience and Inclusion) at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Some interesting points discussed. What is a good way to manifest resilience in an organization. Is it like : a. A ramrod that is strong and withstands everything around it b. A punching bag that bounces back whenever it gets hit and put down c. An amoeba (or an organism) that changes form in response to the environment adapt Do we design organizations to: a. Solve problems b. Pre-empt problems c. Unleash potential Most believe in 3 but operate as 1 One way to build resilience is to incorporate diversity in perspectives and abilities, and all the while having humility.

Here is the 2024 Kentucky Employer Survey Analysis and Report by the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence. The report highlights employer perspectives on workforce readiness of Kentucky's high school graduates. The report reveals that employers value soft skills such as critical thinking and collaboration. The report corroborates and supports the work Jobs for Kentucky's Graduates (JAG KY) is doing throughout the Commonwealth. JAG KY teaches leadership skills, soft skills, and life skills to all JAG students. The JAG Advantage implements real world, project-based learning in and outside of the classroom. We work directly with employers who visit the classroom to provide valuable industry, company, and career information. The JAG program also provides support and resources to those students who are challenged with some type of trauma event in their life.
