Good morning! Oooo! GREAT article here. I just can't wrap my head around this concept - ghosting and applicant that you're interested in pursuing. I understand that things happen on the back end - position to get put on hold, filled internally, Etc. however, it's your responsibility as the face of the organization- the introduction to employee culture- to communicate and update candidates. For the sake of our profession.. please level UP. https://lnkd.in/gM9VfPMW My online profile: https://lnkd.in/g6b_EAJd #innovation #management #hr #HumanResources #recruiter #recruitment #digitalmarketing #technology #creativity #future #futurism

🌟 A New Perspective on HR: More Than Just Recruitment 🌟 Reflecting on my time studying industrial & organizational psychology, I remember how my student committee was always focused on recruitment—interviews, sourcing candidates, and the like. It felt like HR was all about hiring. However, my experience working in the field has opened my eyes to the broader world of Human Resources. Recruitment is just the beginning! In the organizational world, HR is about (in a brief): - Building Structures: Crafting organizational frameworks that align with company goals. - Creating Roles: Designing job descriptions that match roles with the company's needs. - Recruiting Thoughtfully: Finding and attracting candidates who fit both the job and the culture. - Developing Talent: Nurturing and growing employees throughout their journey. - Ensuring Compliance: Managing work rights and adhering to labor laws. - Managing Transitions: Handling exits and retirements with care. This broader view has not only changed my approach to HR but also deepened my understanding of why we do what we do. It’s not just about fulfilling tasks; it’s about creating meaningful journeys for employees and understanding the critical role psychology plays in organizational dynamics. For anyone studying or passionate about HR, I encourage you to explore the full scope of the field. Knowing the “why” behind our work can make all the difference and inspire us to give our best. A big thank you to my coach Juvika Juvika and mentor Yosafat Hutagalung for helping me see the true impact of HR. Your guidance has shown me just how important and fulfilling this work can be. #HumanResources #HRJourney #CareerGrowth #Psychology #OrganizationalDevelopment #HRInsights

HR: Where are you? Why didn't you come in today as planned? Candidate: Look, I'm not coming in today or ever. I've decided to go with another offer. HR: This is highly unprofessional! We've invested time and resources in your onboarding process. Candidate: Well, maybe you should have offered something more competitive then! HR: We had high hopes for you, and you're letting us down at the last minute. Candidate: Don't guilt-trip me! Your offer simply didn't measure up to what I got elsewhere. HR: We could have given you opportunities for growth and development here. Candidate: I doubt that. Your company clearly doesn't value talent if this is how you react to someone choosing another offer. HR: Fine, if that's your attitude, we don't want you here anyway. Candidate: Good riddance! I'll be happy somewhere that appreciates my skills and respects my decisions. HR: You'll regret burning this bridge. Candidate: I highly doubt it. Goodbye! #onboardingday #lastminutedrops #unprofessional

May 20th is celebrated as International HR's Day ! HR's jobs aren't easy as it may seem. HR not only helps an organisation to build the culture, but to grow it as well. HR's job is not only to align the interviews but to share the feedback to the candidates, irrespective of the outcome. HR's job is not only to hire/recruit new talents but also to help in sustaining the right ones too. HR's job is not only to satisfy the team's demand but also to take care of the whole, for an organisation. HR's job is like a mother. Some get real mothers and some get step mothers instead 😅. Some HR's do their duty for betterment of both, organisation and the candidates while some fail at communicating. But that's ok. Remember, HR's are also humans. They also learn, some learn the easy way, some learn from their teams and some get moulded in the wrong culture. It happens to all of us. For All The HRs - It's always better to keep a good relation with the candidates. You never know what happens next in the chapter of life. The candidate you ghosted, will be the decision maker in the organisation where you're desperately looking to switch. A single email to a candidate stating the reason for delay, rejection or anything else can be communicated smoothly and humanely possible too. Happy International Human Resource Day to all HR's in my connections and timeline. Aaj Ek Rangoli To Banta Hai 😋. #InternationalHRDay #HR #HumanResource

Hello everyone, During a recent training program, I created an identity map and realized that, instead of relying solely on traditional resumes, more creative approaches could also be considered. Be confident when you are explaining a career gap and be honest about it. Or when you had switched jobs in a short period of time, let the interviewer know that you were looking for a company that suits you rather than a company where you are forcing yourself to work. If the interviewer creates an issue, then that workplace is not fit for you. If they accept the fact that it was your right to select a company according to your needs, I believe that the workplace is healthy for you. Quiz the conventional HR, Dear HR’s. Give value where it is to be given. #hrcommunity #hr #employeerelations #workplaceculture
