Like many, I have a personal connection to blood cancer. I have been fortunate to be able to contribute to the fight along side many amazing scientists, educators, caregivers, and patients. As a blood cancer community, we've made significant progress over the years, as shown in the inspiring chart below from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, illustrating the 5-year relative survival rate by year of diagnosis. Despite this progress, over 150 people still lose their fight daily in the US to blood cancers. Thanks to all those who keep pushing for more #breakthroughs and for the progress being made in #immunotherapies, #targetedtherapies and #diagnostic and #prognostic tools to guide treatment and improve outcomes for all those affected. Here's to continued progress in 2024 and beyond! #worldbloodcancerday

It's Leukemia & Lymphoma Awareness Month! 🩸 While both are blood cancers, they have some key differences: Leukemia: Starts in the bone marrow, affecting the production of all blood cells (red, white, platelets). Often impacts children and young adults. Lymphoma: Develops in the lymphatic system, a network targeting infections. Affects lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell). Can affect people of all ages. Both have similar symptoms: fatigue, fever, weight loss, and easy bruising. Early detection is crucial for both. Learn the signs and symptoms. #LeukemiaAwareness #LymphomaAwareness #BloodCancer #KnowTheSigns #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #scitechSDP #scitechdevelopment #oncology #nanofenretinide #fenretinide #lymphoma #nonhodgkin #drugdelivery #ST001
