It is important to think about baby teeth as important as adult teeth. Baby teeth are very important, even though they fall out later in childhood. Baby teeth are place-keepers until adult teeth come in. If a baby tooth has a cavity, it can still hurt and needs to be treated. That cavity harbors aggressive bacteria that can easily spread through your child’s mouth and cause more cavities. https://buff.ly/3CEVsXq #kids #dentalcare #Mainedentist

Here are six early signs of dental issues in children 1)Observe ,how your child chews and bites. Difficulty in these basic functions can be a sign of misaligned teeth or jaws." 2)Crowded or misplaced teeth not only affect a child's smile but can also lead to difficulties in cleaning, increasing the risk of cavities and gum disease 3)Is your child self-conscious about their smile? Early intervention can boost their confidence, ensuring they never have to hide their happiness." 4) Mouth breathing can be a sign of blocked nasal passages but also of improper oral development. Paying attention to this habit is crucial." 5) An imbalance in jaw growth, where one jaw is more prominent than the other, can impact both function and appearance. February is National Children’s Dental Health Month You should be able to fit a dime between every baby tooth. While it is cute baby teeth should not touch like my daughters in this photo! If you see baby teeth that look similar to this have your child evaluated by a Myofunctional therapist it is likely your child will grow into different issues releated to not enough room in there mouth for the tongue or thier adult teeth. do not wait until they are 7 -10 and loose all thie baby teeth. 80% of growth and development happen by the age of 8 requiring more invasive treatments to expand the upper arch and airway. Dental health is about more than white straight teeth is is about form, Function, airway and breathing. I did not know this when our daughter was little she wore braces three times. Prevention is so much better than treating the sypmtoms we are told our children will outgrow. They grow into different issues. You can prevent those issues with early intervention.
