Step 3 - Wander off and tackle the hot food / cereal / pastries in the meantime. Step 4 - Sort out hot and cold drinks. Step 5 - Return to toasting machine and watch slice of bread edge closer to the fiery abyss. Step 6 - Engage in further small talk about how slow the machine is. Step 7 - Head back to your room and churn out 10,000-word dissertation for university. Step 8 - Start The Sopranos and watch everything from the pilot episode to the screen going black in the diner. Step 9 - Climb Mt Everest and then descend to Base Camp. Step 10 - Retrieve toast from toasting machine, decide that it’s too pale, put it back inside for a second time, repeat Steps 2-9, and then take the toast out, decide it’s burnt to buggery and then chuck it in the bin.

Examples of the Different Types of PAST TENSES Verbs can change their form depending on what tense you use. When an action is done in the past, PAST TENSES are used. Let's take a look into the different type of PAST TENSES! ✅ Simple Past = Verb + -ed (for regular verbs) OR irregular forms (e.g., "went," "saw"). This describes a completed action that happened at a specific time in the past. Example: "I went to the party." ✅ Past Continuous (Past Progressive) = Was/Were + verb + -ing. This describes an ongoing action that was happening at a specific moment in the past, often interrupted by another action. Example: "I was cooking dinner." ✅ Past Perfect = Had + past participle. This describes an action that was completed before another action or point in the past. Example: "I had studied English." ✅ Past Perfect Continuous (Past Perfect Progressive) = Had been + verb + -ing. This describes an action that started in the past and continued up until another action or point in the past. Example: "I had been cleaning the house." 👉 Save this post to review it later and let me know in the comments if these tips were helpful! 💬
