Elevating ideas, amplifying voices, driving culture, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible for visionary entrepreneurs and brands in today's dynamic world. Experiential Marketing | Entrepreneurship
I'm honored to have recently participated in a round table lunch with Chairman Oliver Gilbert ('cause when you got friends in places, things happen). When invited to such a table, it's crucial to make your voice heard. I took this opportunity to advocate for the event community. Too often, events are the last to receive consideration but the first to be cut. However, their impact is undeniable: -Events bring people together, fostering community bonds -They generate millions in revenue for municipalities -Events play a vital role in sustaining small businesses -Events are essential for company and brand growth, offering unique opportunities for networking, lead generation, and brand exposure -They create opportunities for underserved communities, promoting inclusion and representation -Events drive innovation and knowledge sharing across industries -They serve as powerful platforms for cultural expression and preservation Importantly, events can be transformative for underserved communities, providing opportunities for representation, economic growth, and cultural celebration that might otherwise be overlooked. Let's recognize the true value of events in our communities and economies, and ensure they reflect the diversity of the populations they serve. #EventIndustry #CommunityBuilding #EconomicImpact

Connecting Business with local charities, social enterprises and the community to Innovate for Good 🌱 Force4good | Entrepreneur | With Purpose Network | ESG | Social Impact | Employee Engagement & Volunteering 🌎
When Networking for Good with a purpose comes to town, you won't forget it! 🔥 The Networking with Purpose events must be experienced to truly sense the passion, commitment, and energy that arise when businesses connect with and learn about the amazing nonprofit organisations doing brilliant work where their employees live and work 💼🤝💡 These events make it incredibly easy for businesses and nonprofits to collaborate, innovate, and identify creative solutions together to address local and global social issues 🌍✨ There is so much I can say about yesterday's event, but the buzz and feedback clearly show the importance and growing desire for businesses to be more meaningfully connected to the communities 🏡👥 We had 60 attendees (So many to tag - you know who you are) wanting to share their time, skills, experiences, resources, and finances through conversation and skill swaps. A huge thanks to our sponsors, Mills & Reeve Nick Finlayson-Brown and Kevin Appleton Group 1 Automotive, for partnering with us to bring these inspiring events to Cambridgeshire. And a massive shoutout to our brilliant hosts too Cambscuisine Oliver Thain, my support team Sarah S., for everyone who shows up to make a difference 🙏🎉 We host these events because there are many people in our communities where lack of opportunities, inequality, and poverty hinder their full potential. By collaborating together, businesses, nonprofits, and the public sector are better equipped to improve lives and create a more sustainable and resilient community where everyone thrives 🌱💪 What an absolute honour and privilege it is to be with movers and shakers in the city and beyond, who are committed to growing and galvanising this With Purpose community where innovation meets purpose. Beyond what I can write here, you just have experiences and see it to believe it 🌟🤝 If you're a business feeling something is missing in your social activities and engaging with your local community, you know where to find me. Drop me a message – I would love to hear from you! 📩❤️ #NetworkingForGood #CommunityEngagement #WithPurpose #Innovation #Collaboration #SocialImpact #Cambridgeshire #nwpcambs

In the intertwined realms of my local and virtual communities, I've found unique and fulfilling ways to weave connections and give back, blending digital and physical worlds to create a richer tapestry of engagement. It all starts in the heart of my neighborhood, where I dive into the vibrant life of local-ish clubs and organizations. Each meeting and event with these groups isn't just about sharing interests—it's about crafting lasting bonds and contributing to communal efforts, from mentoring to fundraisers. Speaking of mentoring, I share with those just starting (or looking for a new point of view) their entrepreneurial journeys. But my community spirit doesn't stop at the city, county, and state limits. Online, I extend my reach globally through forums and social media groups that resonate with my passions. Here, I engage in lively discussions, share insights, and offer support, building a network of friends and colleagues who are both like-minded and diverse. When possible, I attend virtual conferences and webinars, where I absorb cutting-edge knowledge and connect with thought leaders. This landscape offers endless opportunities to grow and network without ever stepping outside. My community involvement is both my path and destination, enhancing every experience and interaction. Join me in weaving this rich tapestry of engagement! #CommunityBuilding #GlobalConnections #LocalImpact Photo by Hannah Busing on Unsplash

Helping entrepreneurs succeed | Father | Husband | Marketer | Investor | Triathlete | Chauffeur | Podcaster
Tip of the week: Build a professional community of peers. This is often different than your community of co-workers, colleagues, cofounders, and even family/friends. Those communities are important but can tire easily from ongoing work discussions (especially in the case of family). A 'community' of peers is made up of trusted individuals who appreciate being vulnerable and aren't tied directly to your career. More often than not, it is a group of peers in unrelated industries but perhaps similar positions. They can be a listening ear and panel of unbiased 'advisors' to the challenges you are going through. Some people use networking groups such as BNI Global or TribeHouse: Company Tribes to fill this need. As I attended the #BYUMBAETA #SearchFund Conference yesterday (well done Brigham Young University), I was reminded of this concept several times. I believe Taz Murray or Heather (Rigby) Mosley said it first. It was a great reminder to build a strong community around you. Doing this will help you through good times and bad and relieve some of the loneliness felt along the entrepreneurial journey. #entreprenurship #community #searchfunds #revroad
