The Reading of the day “The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment” by Thaddeus Golas Golas describes one of the natural cycles of life that we should be aware of: expansion and contraction.  The author explains that "Expanded beings are permeative; contracted beings are dense and impermeative. Therefore, each of us, alone or in combination, may appear as space, energy, or mass, depending on the ratio of expansion to contraction chosen and the kind of vibrations each of us expresses by alternating expansion and contraction. Each being controls his own vibrations"(Golas, 1995). The expansion phase as “awareness, comprehension, understanding, or whatever we wish to call it” (Golas, 1995). In contrast to expansion, the contraction phase is expressed as "fear, pain, unconsciousness, ignorance, hatred, evil, and a whole host of strange feelings" (Golas, 1995).
