Women shouldn’t own property. They’re inferior & aren’t capable. Pardon our language… but F*CK that. Can you believe that this used to be the norm? The LAW? Today is International Women Day. Today we celebrate how far we have ALL come as we may not all be women, but we ALL have mothers, sisters, wives, daughters, close female colleagues and friends- and we all should want to promote a world that values equality. In 2024, here is what we as a society who promotes equality need to celebrate in terms of what women now represent: -62% of realtors -61.9% of property management -83.6% of escrow officers -83.9% of interior designers -AND single women homebuyers now have 10.95 million homes, while single men own 8.24 million What a change!!! Here’s to all the women before us who experienced hardship, to all the men and women who fought to change this, and to all the badass females who are proving that equality should exist. 💕 #women #bossbabes #bossbabesunite #womeninternationalday #equality #badasswomen

8th of March is International Women’s Day. Women all over the world are prone to work under poor labour conditions and accept unfair job offers to make a living, due to the feminization of poverty. The gender pay gap is still a reality. Care-work is still mostly provided by women and is not recognized as work. Domestic violence and and sexual exploitation of women persist globally. It is time that we see more commitment towards these topics in current politics! Read more about this and how it predominantly affects migrant women in our most recent post.
Today is International Women's Day. There are many reasons to advocate loudly for equal rights and investments in (migrant) women. La Strada International believes that improving and promoting women's rights is the only way to create a long-lasting new equilibrium in world society in which women are free from violence, exploitation, and abuse. In the tapestry of history, women have fought tirelessly for their rights and dignity, making significant strides against the odds. Yet, violence against women remains a pervasive barrier to true equality and freedom. As we honor the struggles and triumphs of women throughout history, let's commit to ending violence, ensuring their sacrifices lead to a future where every woman can live without fear. This is our time to write a new chapter in history, one where equality and respect are non-negotiable rights for all. #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #WomensHistory #EqualityForAll #HerStoryOurFuture"

It began with five reform-minded women inaugurating the first women's rights convention with over three hundred who lit the flame of activism for women's rights. It took 72 years to accomplish the passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920, which granted women the right to vote. A small number can cultivate positive and significant change. Achieving positive and significant change requires the perseverance to finish what one starts, overcoming all obstacles. What significant change can you and a small number of people accomplish in your organization, community, the world?
