It's unfortunate that scams are happening every day and Penfed's doing a lot to keep our members safe. My name is Ben, fraud analyst on the front prevention team. My name is Eric Bettino. I'm one of the fraud managers here at PEN Fed Credit Union. I scammed is really when anyone tries to, you know, coerce you or manipulate you and a fraudulent way for for their own financial gain. What do you think some common or some good practices are for protecting yourself from scams? Prevention starts with being informed with what the scams that you might face could be. I think it's it's great to make sure you're in control of your personal information, your usernames or passwords. I think password hygiene, make sure it's a really strong. Unique password for your bank account and reset your passwords frequently and don't use the same password for everything. Actually one more I'd say is 2 factor authentication for your bank. I think we should always have two factor authentication because this is your money. It's more valuable of an account than some of the others. I totally agree. I think enabling 2 factor authentication is a great step to preventing your account from being taken over and also never sharing that 6 digit code that gets texted to you. Fed shares a lot of this information on scams that we see that can become prevalent. Out there in the world to prevent our members from becoming victims themselves.
